23.01.2022 *SHOUT OUT TO THOSE IN HOSPITALITY IN THE SHOALHAVEN* If you are a local restaurant or B & B that is now sadly overloaded with perishable food that you are at r...isk of throwing away, please don’t let it go to waste. Let’s make the best of a terrible situation. Please consider donating the food to Salt Care and we can distribute it to homeless people and those who are struggling in our community. Thank you See more

17.01.2022 A little testimony from one of our volunteers. Being a volunteer at the shelter is so rewarding. I meet different people each time I go there and get to enjoy being a part of a beautiful community where it’s just about being of service. I’ll be honest and say that I was out of my comfort zone at first however with the support of all of the other volunteers and the amazing Jo, I soon felt a part of the family. ... I found that the only thing that was making me nervous, was my own preconceived attitude towards a homeless shelter. I’m thrilled to say that I look forward to each shift that I get to do. - Sand

06.01.2022 A homeless mother is calling on all levels of Governments and homeless crisis services to step up and help after being forced to separate from her two teenage c...hildren. Service providers say their staff are stretched to the limit with over 100 women homeless or on the brink of being homeless - waiting for overdue assistance. See more
