08.01.2022 Temporary Driving Permit Extension for Overseas License : Where the person has been unable to book in to undertake a practical driving test due to the COVID-19 pandemic they will be able to be issued with a second Temporary Driving Permit . Service SA will check the person’s record to ensure they have not already sat a practical driving test and failed. If the person has failed a test then they must be issued with a learner’s permit, otherwise a further three month Temporary Driving Permit can be issued.
