25.01.2022 The most common placement of greywater tanks results in 90+ kgs being removed from the axle group and then 90+kgs being added in the worst possible position to impact the handling of a caravan. The Safetank avoids this.
20.01.2022 Just under a year ago.
19.01.2022 MAJOR MAIL OUTAGE. OUR ISP HAS CHANGED PROTOCOLS. This has resulted in all mail to safetank being quarantined. Please contact us via phone 0412649360 or text to that same number until this mess is sorted. Thankyou for your patience.
19.01.2022 This China Plague has impacted everyone, including us. We now have atleast 3 weeks wait just to place an order for components. So sorry for the inconvenience.
18.01.2022 SPECIAL OFFER, DONT MISS OUT! Free with every SAFETANK sold this month 1 roll for the blokes and an extra length, extra soft roll for for the ladies.
18.01.2022 Is this the way of the future? BIG RED BASH. 10,000 campers, not a drop of greywater released into the environment. No dramas, no complaints.
17.01.2022 A MILESTONE DAY. 2 years ago today, we introduced SAFETANK to the world with a limited release in conjunction with Nova Caravans on their stand at the Bendigo Caravan Show. At that show, every Nova van sold had at least 2 fitted. A wonderful start. Since then, scores have been fitted to vans all over the country. Over a million klms traveled on every type of surface, in every condition ........ NOT A SINGLE FAILURE! Noone has needed to use our "No Arguments" warranty. Major distributors have come and gone, whilst we kept in touch with our end users, conducting pathogen and operational testing, all with wonderful results. This week sees the next step. We currently have tanks with a couple of manifacturers and we're getting positive feedback. THANK YOU John Sills and the wonderful team at Nova for having faith in Safetank. THANK YOU to our wonderful clients. See more
17.01.2022 Theres 50 Safetanks that are part of our AS9001 rating, including all the tanks fitted to Novas and by Suncoast Qld. Please contact us, we need your data. We want your stories. 2 x $50 fuel cards are up for grabs. But we MUST get the data! It simply means taking a couple of water samples (protocols have to be followed). We'll send you the containers and a paid post return. This trial and data gathering is part of our upcoming international release. Several media outlets are a...lready asking for the Safetank story, you are part of it. Where have you been? Where are you now? Pix? We want to prove to the world how good the Safetank dual system really is. Our customers are so far ahead of the rest. You chose Safetank above the cheap alternatives for a reason. Well done. Simply send John an email to [email protected] See more
17.01.2022 SANATIZING UPDATE - IMPORTANT! For a while we have been researching different sanitizing products and methods for the SAFETANK. Some time ago, we came across Bio Magic and were very impressed.... I'm pleased to say that we have finally found the one system that works better than all others AND is environmentally safe. With that in mind, SAFETANK will now ONLY recommended the Bio Magic system for our product. The Bio Magic product appears to tick all the boxes if used as per the instructions. It is available through most camping stores or direct from the manufacturer and on Ebay NOTE: We have no connection with Bio Magic apart from buying their products.
16.01.2022 TIP With the end of the holidays drawing near, dont forget to empty and sanitize your tanks so theyll be fresh for your next trip. That includes all the hoses and drain pipes too. From the crew at SAFETANK, Have a wonderful 2020.

12.01.2022 WATER STORAGE IN CARAVANS What weve learnt over the past 2 years of testing and over a million kms of trials. DRINKING WATER Its best to have a dedicated drinking water storage (blue tank), filled from a known safe... source & delivered through a filter. FRESHWATER (Household) Water needed for household use, (shower, washing machine, sinks etc) should be treated in much the same manner as your drinking water as there is a high chance of it becoming ingested. BOTH drinking and household tanks and lines should be sanitized with a safe LIQUID product regularly. (When using powder or tablets, ensure they are completely dissolved before application) GREYWATER The amount of greywater you produce, is usually the same as the amount of household water you use. Therefore, it makes sense to have a similar amount of greywater storage. Unfortunately, most vans are only fitted with a single greywater tank which often needs to be decanted during longer stays. GREYWATER STORAGE REQUIRES EXTRA TREATMENT GREYWATER can turn very toxic, very quickly, often within a few hours. It is therefore IMPERATIVE that the tank and lines are properly sanitized. This means applying sanitizer through ALL the drains and into the tank BEFORE use. It is also wise to give the greywater lines and tank a booster dose if youre storing the waste for more than a few days. After emptying your greywater tank you should flush through another dose of sanitizer, then treat it again ready for travel or storage. The treatment of greywater storage is very similar to blackwater (toilet canisters) but not quite as extreme. During the course of our trailing the SAFETANK, weve opened quite a few tanks to check for any wear, corrosion etc. Its safe to say that the tanks that hadnt been sanitized properly (or at all), were every bit vomit-inducing as a toilet canister. We have found that the product Bio Majic when used according to directions, does a stellar job.Bio Majic can be bought online, or through camping accessories stores. (We have no connection to Bio Majic, other than as a paying customer.) We hope the above helps answer some questions. Please stay safe during these trying times. Better times are ahead.

We've pulled a few out after long trips, just to check. PERFECT. Pathogen testing revealed zero cross contamination, even with the worst grey water. SAFETANK JUST BLOODY WORKS !!! But we already knew that. Over engineered for a reason. See more

07.01.2022 This is one of the main reasons Safetank was invented: TO SAVE LIVES!!! Copied from the ABC article today. Read the quote, then imagine removing 90kg from your axle group, then adding 90kg to the rear of your van, not just a 20kg bike rack or jerry can. QUOTE... Kev Williams and Trev Whish, from Australian Four Wheel Driving and Advanced Driver Education, said a "poorly positioned load" was the most common cause of caravan crashes. The senior trainers said while manufacturers had a responsibility to ensure caravan specifications were met and the vehicles safe to use, minor changes to a caravan's load by the owner later could be enough to cause a major accident. "What tends to happen is, once the owner takes over, they can upset that balance by putting too much weight on the back of their caravan or trailer," Mr Williams said. "That's one of the main reasons a caravan or trailer sways, because you've putting too much on the back. "Load weight and position is important. "So it might be set to go, but the owner might put a 20 litre fuel jerry on the back, they might add a bike rack or spare tyre those things will easily cause problems." Mr Whish said he had sat in the passenger seat of a caravan that began to vigorously sway during a training course on the highway after the owner shifted a bike rack from where the manufacturer had positioned it. "That guy put his wife, two kids, and my life in danger just by changing the dynamics of the caravan," he said." UNQUOTE
07.01.2022 After 2 years and well over a million kms on every surface in the country without a single failure, we are finally taking Safetank to the next level. 1st step, that horrid website.
