24.01.2022 Upwey Men's Shed is currently planning to build a 200 + sq meter shed and are looking at solar / battery back up to power the shed. Electricity mains supply is ...currently at capacity at the proposed site and we have been told the cost of upgrading power supply at the proposed site is around $150,000. We are requesting information from other shedders as to how much power your shed uses plus ampage to see if solar / battery is an option. See more
23.01.2022 I’ve realised with the combination of winter & lockdown that it’s unlikely I’m getting enough vitamin D, which is produced by the reaction of direct sunlight on... the skin with cholesterol in the body. And it must be direct sunlight, sitting indoors beside a window doesn’t work. Something to consider, eh? I have attached an information brochure from the Cancer Council with a more detailed explanation. See more

07.01.2022 Medical experts were asked if it is time to ease the lockdown. Allergists were in favor of scratching it, but Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but Neurologists thought the government had a lot of nerve. Obstetricians felt certain everyone was laboring under a misconception, while Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.... Many Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!" Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while Radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing and pharmacists claimed it would be a bitter pill to swallow. Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would "put a whole new face on the matter." Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea. Anaesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and those lofty Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no. In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes. See more
06.01.2022 Bunurong Men’s Shed wishes to thank federal MP Jason Wood for inviting us to put forward a submission for a portion of $66,000 available locally for not-for-pro...fit groups. We had to apply for a figure of at least $1000 up to $5000, looking at the large array of categories selectable we opted to apply for funding to purchase a new Test & Tag machine. I am pleased to announce that we were successful in our application and the funds arrived in our bank account today. See more
