18.01.2022 A perfect day for golf on Saturday when the format for both the 9 & 18 hole events was Stableford with a total of 94 players competing on the day. Those playing 18 holes were competing for the Driver Family Christmas Competition prizes. There were 9 ladies playing 9 holes & 10 playing 18 & they did pretty well as the results below show: Gerri Robson (41) won the 9 hole event with an amazing 26 points which resulted in a further handicap reduction. Great score Gerri, well done.... Those ladies with 15 points or better won a ball, they were: Helen Danson (21 points), Sue White (16 points), Glenn Barber & Lou Verstraelen (both 15 points). Congratulations to all ladies In the 18 hole event, Janine O'Sullivan (36) was the winner of D Grade with 37 points while Donna McLerie (33) had 35 points. Both ladies now have lower handicaps as a result so congratulations to you both! To win a ball a score of 33 points or better was required with the following ladies receiving a ball each: Denise Law & Michele Cooke (33 points), Corina Cross (34 points) & Linda Fredricson 36 points. 14.01.2022 What a hot humid day it was for the 56 ladies playing in the 9-Hole 4 Person Drop Out Ambrose event held on the back 9 yesterday. It was the final event organised by the Ladies Committee for the year and was followed by Christmas lunch and the Presentation of Trophies that were won in 2020. 14.01.2022 Presentation Day trophy table & table settings on Tuesday 15th December, before all the golfers finished playing! Not as many trophies as usual because most events were cancelled due to COVID19. Thanks to Colleen & Viv who did a great job setting up the outdoor area for lunch & presentations. It was perfect on such a hot & humid day.

09.01.2022 Winter returned this morning for the ladies 9 hole Ambrose event on the front 9 with cool winds, overcast skies & brief showers greeting the 54 ladies playing. All were only allowed to use 4 clubs including their putter which posed a different challenge for each team. Judging by the noise in the club house after golf, most seemed to enjoy the day despite the weather. The ladies annual meeting followed presentations to those who won a prize. Congratulations to the winners bel...ow: 1st Prize of a bottle of wine each: Karen Rikken (42), Jenny Williamson (41), Joan Spence (28) & Judy Ireland (45) Nett 27.375, 2nd Prize of a mini Christmas cake each: Enid Hamilton (43) Linda Fredricson (24) Jeanette Bourke (37) & Cheryl Saker (45) Nett 29.75 on count back from Jenny Dovison (39) Viv Goodson (36) Joan Davies (45) & Caroline Lester (45) who collect 3rd Prize of a sleeve of balls each. Those in 4th to 6th place received a ball each as follows: Marj Burridge, Gerri Robson, Sharon DeHaan, Jodi Crago, Wendy Simmons, Ros Champion, Sue Gordon, Jackie Mazoletti, Maureen Cousins, Sue Chapman & Vicki Mallcott. Pro Ball Winners (Nett 32.125 or better required) were Colleen Blackmore, Kath Dobson, Di Camilleri, Lucy Bond, Denise Law, Lee Grubb, Cheryl Westcott, Ilse Urlus, Pat Webster, Helen Danson, Jean Harle & Margaret Carroll. The Encouragement Award went to Sue White, Joan Coombs, Renate Weiner & Penny McCarthy. Well done to all who played, let's hope the weather is better next week when we will be playing our 9-hole Christmas event using the back 9 this time. Remember to book in online by Thursday night and to dress with a Christmas theme in mind, there's a prize for the best dressed & other surprises on the day too! 06.01.2022 A very warm & windy Saturday greeted the 89 players entered for the 2 Stableford events. The 18 hole players were also competing for the Stan Petty Christmas Trophy with the winner being Todd Newey (9) who recorded an impressive 41 points! The closest of the ladies was Sue White (44) who had a great day scoring a fabulous 38 points. Sue recorded the same points as the winner of D Grade but was beaten on count back so collects the runner up prize of a $15 voucher. Super score Sue, well done! The following ladies collected a ball in the 18 hole event with 32 points required to be a winner: Sharon DeHaan 36 points, Linda Fredricson & Gerri Robson 35 points. The winner of the 9 hole event was Dot Compton (45) who with 16 points collects a $15 voucher. Congratulations to all the winners & to all ladies who competed.
