20.01.2022 Come along to one of our two information sessions being held on Tuesday 10 March and learn more about our Safety Bay/Shoalwater Coastal Management Study. The st...udy investigated the varying coastal processes, current coastal management activities and recommendations needed for future management of an area that spans from the Garden Island Causeway Bridge down the coast to the Waikiki foreshore. The study also reviewed existing boating facilities within the area and explored the opportunity for future extension and development. Session 1: Gary Holland Community Centre from 2pm to 3.30pm Session 2: Safety Bay Yacht Club from 5.30pm to 7.30pm You do not need to RSVP to attend these sessions. They are an open invitation event to residents within the City of Rockingham. For more information on the study, visit www.rockingham.wa.gov.au/coastalmanagementstudy

19.01.2022 Good Afternoon Members and Visitors, The world is in a vulnerable place with the COVID-19 virus spread. As Australians we are a laid back breed of people, some more than others. Which makes the Safety Bay Yacht Club a great place to retreat ro on a Sunday for a sail.... With the current pandemic we are all going through the Committee has decided to cancel our sailing season. What this means to the club in uncertain and the committee will need to have a meeting to work it out. An email will be sent out to all members in the near future. Currently, Many of our regular hall bookings have cancelled their programs and hall hiring will be for limited people at this stage. I must advise that this virus is a serious threat to lives and you should treat it as such. Please stay safe, keep your distance, stay at home where you can and be considerate to others. (There is no need to bulk buy loo paper) Regards Anthony Commodore
