20.01.2022 Today, October 15th is the 50th anniversary of the West Gate Bridge tragedy that occurred in Melbourne Australia. It remains the worst industrial disaster Australia has seen in terms of loss of life. A section of the bridge collapsed during construction, falling onto the workers huts below during break time, killing 35 men.
