22.01.2022 Well, this was doing my head in. The car came in for a coolant leak so I replaced the leaking radiator but the car was running hot after I finished the job. The water wasn't circulating. I don't normally do much mechanical work on Saturdays but the curiosity got the better of me. No impeller left on the water pump.

21.01.2022 The series 2 Land Rover is finally finished and out of here. One of the last jobs to do was repair the rust in the chassis out outrigger. There was just a little bit of dirt in there. Lol. All ready for our next project. We have to make an early 60's Beetle #series2landrover

21.01.2022 A very green day today. Had the pleasure of meeting the new custodian of this amazing Lime Glaze Capri. I knew about it many years ago though ther Car Club but after changing hands 2 or 3 times, it's returned back to Sydney. Love it so much! #the70srock #fordcapri

21.01.2022 Well , you learn something new everyday. Customer complaining of dash lights not working, radio display not working and fuel and tacho not working. After scanning the computer and the mechanics(Genius Mitch, according to him) knowledge of army Land Rovers, he concluded that the car may be an ex Police car. Sure enough, it was. A quick Google of the blackout/stealth switch and voila. Fixed! Have no idea why they'd stop the fuel gauge from working instead of just turning the dash lightS out but there you have it.

18.01.2022 Wow!! Time to get the key tags out!! Looks like a Mazda dealership today. It did my head in when I found an extra Mazda key. I had forgotten that I parked a car up the road last night for the customer to pick up. He was coming in this morning to pay and pick up the key.

18.01.2022 One of our fabulous customers recently bought this Mercedes for their kids to learn to drive in. We got the car started fairly quickly. Made it steer a bit better and they're mobile again. Hopefully do a few more things in the next few weeks to get it up to scratch. Yianni, I had to wash your white wall tyres. They were doing my head in.

16.01.2022 I haven't worked on a Mighty Boy in a few decades. All of a sudden we have 2. Owned by the same gent. The red one was a quick service, a repair of the window regulator and a blue slip for registration. The white one is getting a bigger engine. Bigger by 60%

15.01.2022 "Small parts & fat fingers" was Mitch's comment. Lol. We're reversing 65 years of butchery. The wiring is diabolical in this 50's Humber Hawk. It had 3 blinker switches on the car. This car came with semaphores but the switch on the steering wheel wasn't working. It had 2 blinker switches on the column. One for the semaphores and one for the aftermarket blinkers. Let's see if we can get the steering wheel switch to work both the semaphores & the blinkers AND to cancel.

15.01.2022 Stoked with the outcome. One of our favourite customers unfortunately had an accident with only 3rd party insurance. We recommended another second hand car but they decided to repair this one. We found 2 second hand headlights and a bonnet which was luckily the same colour. A bit of panel beating by chain and Land Cruiser, a bit of slide hammer and normal hammer and the headlights are even facing the right direction. Only had to do a bit of fine tuning with the headlight aim. Not bad considering how bent the radiator support was.

13.01.2022 Variety is the spice of life they say. Have a Cortina on one hoist and a Lamborghini on the other. Same, same. Lol. Was making sure that the Lambo fit on the hoist before we re-book it in next week. Has to be perfectly positioned but it fits under.

12.01.2022 The importance of regular oil changes. Car has less than 100,000kms but the engine seized due to not enough oil changes. Check out the sludge in the engine. Running nice now.

09.01.2022 Sooooo much power in our Hyundai Accent that I ripped the centre of the wheel off. Outs lucky that I didn't hit the wall, I wasn't going as fast as I normally would have been as I was on the way back to the pits due to the bad steering vibration.

04.01.2022 On Tuesday, we thought that we were a VW/Audi dealership, yesterday we were specialists in Land Cruisers. Lol. Very much looking forward to hopefully getting the go ahead to getting the 60 Series Land Cruiser back on the road.

01.01.2022 Call my brother(the electrician) and you get a free car check over. Lol. He was at a client's house and he noticed the tyres on her car and warned her straight away. Apparently the vehicle was at Audi for a recall 5 weeks prior. OMG!! Vehicle only has 27,000kms and needed 4 tyres. These cars go through tyres very quickly compared to a Japanese car.

01.01.2022 2nd Mighty Boy finished. New bigger engine fitted. Went from 500cc to 800cc. Goes much gooder!!
