23.01.2022 Ok so I I posted a bikini shot of my self on insta stories recently, feeling proud since I've been exercising regularly & eating healthily (yes a cheeky moment I must say ), but then instantly regretted the tag I put as "#nofilter". I realised that my post ended up being amongst the million others that may make others doubt themselves and strive for the #mythofperfection (YES this happens to me too ) With that said, I want to remind you all that photos (especially one...s) require a lot of "perfecting" before it's posted (e.g. lighting, clothing changes, multiple takes, positioning hips/shoulders, getting the angle, post editing, filters and much more) AND YES I did all of those Another thing we forget (myself included) when we scroll through social media is that; many of these 'insta' models make their 'image' & #exercise their full time job!! With all that said, I want all girls and women out there to KNOW that there's no such thing as "perfection" and that the ladies out there with the "so called" perfect bodies usually have an array of "crew" and technology to get the "perfect" photo. The most important I believe; is to strive for inner confidence, feel #healthy and #strong, find fulfilment in your social/career circles & most importantly; Embrace your #Imperfections. As said in silicone valley "fail fast, fail often" is a much better life motto than striving for the myth of perfection. Here is my comparison photo I decided to DELETE - the one that I thought wasn’t perfect enough #happenstome Girls and women reading this; YOU are beautiful, strive for self-care and be YOU. x.S
