16.01.2022 This time 19.5 years ago work was underway transforming a old dilapidated cottage into what would become the first Indian restaurant in the Hills. In the garden was planted six rose bushes, two of which were stolen, dug out, roots and all, the remaining four continued to flourish and year upon year produce the most stunning yellow roses. Before the old cottage was torn down we asked a gardener to transplant the roses into our own garden at home so the beauty of these roses ...would continue to brighten our days. Sadly, two out of the four plants didn’t make it. But the two surviving rose bushes took to the new soil and with a lot of love and nourishment, continued to yield beautiful roses. More recently, a gardening mishap saw the removal of one of the rose bushes and even when replanted, it’s withered blackened branches didn’t at all look promising. More love, words of encouragement, sunny days and gentle rains and today this beautiful rose bush once again thrives. A little like our Saffron Cottage. A business that has weathered so many upheavals, moved premises and now surviving a pandemic. Still standing, still resilient, still surviving. Saffron Cottage. 11.01.2022 This is what Father’s Day 2020 looked like for us... it was a crazy day but we are so pleased with the feedback we’ve received! Special thanks to @CrownConcepts for the very practical cooler bags, @ProjectBrewing for being amazing and so accommodating with finding the perfect beer for you, @BlueandRubyCakeArt for the sublime cookie pack which was just the perfect sweet ending. Massive shout out to our amazing team, they executed a mammoth task and as a first time endeavour o...f this size, it was a job well done! The last pic is how we celebrated at 10pm that night, unfortunately without our daughter, but that’s hospitality for you

06.01.2022 We are delivering our Father’s Day packages to quite a few areas, not just local so from Croydon to Cockatoo and places in between, pls PM to see if we can help you. Deliveries will be scheduled for drop offs approx 3pm-5pm, all our food will be cooked earlier Sunday afternoon and is easily able to be reheated to suit your preferred dinner time. Orders can be placed by sending a msg to this page up until 9pm Friday.

05.01.2022 Thank you for the support Cockatoo/Emerald and surrounds! Our next delivery run will be Sunday 11th October. We are constantly learning and after last weekend we have decided on dedicated pick up points at set times and pre-payments. That way it allows us to serve you much more efficiently and faster. We are not very familiar with the roads that side of town and Google Maps had me going in quite a few circles on Sunday ... So drop off to homes will be offered to Selby, Clematis and Menzies Creek. We will meet near IGA Emerald, IGA Cockatoo and Bam Bam car park Avonsleigh. If you are unable to get to these areas we will of course drop off to your door. Please text orders through to Shabana on 0405406820, order cut off will be Saturday 10th October at 4:00pm for delivery on Sunday 11th October.

We will be meeting somewhere in the Main Street of the local townships and you will be able to collect your meals from there. Please inbox your questions and contact details and we will contact you via phone to confirm your orders. Orders will be accepted until Sat 26th Sept. All food will be cooked on Sunday as per your orders, no minimum spend however there is a $10 delivery fee on each order. We had a steep learning curve on our last run but we are so thankful for the wonderful feedback and look forward to serving you some delicious Indian curries again!
