22.04.2022 Good evening everyone, An alarming amount of people are making bookings and then are no-shows. We understand things happen and would greatly appreciate a simple phone call to cancel - we are so short staffed as it is, and we roster according to bookings. I then disappoint staff by having to send them home after two hours because there is not enough work for them. My mum comes all the way in from the city to help me. To turn around and just go back home is almost a two hour ...trip, time wasted and money spent on tolls. We are a small local neighbourhood eatery, so what makes this even more disappointing is the fact the the people who dont bother cancelling bookings are local's. "I forgot to cancel" really doesn't cut it. Please, have a little respect for the small businesses that are struggling with staffing as is or be understanding when we have no choice but to start charging no show fee's - which honestly if this continues, will be very soon. Rant over Shabana

25.01.2022 With news of restrictions easing on 1st June weve had a lot of enquiries asking if we will be open for dine in. The health of our staff and customers is of utmost importance to us - given the small size of our dining room we have made the difficult decision to NOT open to dine in customers just yet. We will instead have those seats available for our take away customers to wait in a nice warm space rather than out in the cold. This will be disappointing to many, as it is to ...us, but this is an ever-evolving situation and we will continue to be vigilant in maintaining safe practises. We will continue to offer take away and home delivery. Our sister branch, Saffron Cottage is a bigger venue and we will take dine in customers there, some time in June. We are awaiting direction from the state government which will be released Monday. Bookings will be essential, please check for updates on the Saffron Cottage Facebook Page. We can only fit TEN people inside, that’s literally three tables and by you being a NO SHOW, well, really can you blame us restricted industries asking for deposits? We haven’t, yet, but because of inconsiderate people we may have to. If you can’t make it, do the decent thing and call us to cancel. 18.01.2022 And its a wrap for Mothers Day 2020! A heartfelt thank you to all of you lovely people that endured long wait times this evening. Its not easy adapting to purely take away and delivery and we know that many of you experienced much longer than usual wait times. Having worked in the kitchen every weekend for the past few weeks I see firsthand how hard our chefs work and in order to maintain our standards theres absolutely no shortcuts that can be made. We are learning and getting better at managing the orders, however days such as today we fell short of expected wait times. We acknowledge and are trying our best to improve. 14.01.2022 Wednesday 28th October Sunday 8th November valued Guests, In order to comply with the heavy restrictions imposed upon our industry, we at Saffron on Kelletts have had no choice but to implement the following: Early Bird Diners Arrive any time between 5-5:30pm for a quick meal and vacate by 6:15pm (latest) to have no minimum spend imposed... From 6:00pm onwards there will be a minimum charge implemented of $25 per person No loyalty rewards will be able to be redeemed during this period of restrictions, however you can still continue to collect your stamps. A maximum of 90 minutes per seating will be allowed for early bookings. Bookings 7:30pm onwards can stay for the maximum two hours allowed. All guests must sign in using either the QR Code on entry or giving their details to a member of staff Masks must be worn upon entry and when moving within the premises, ie using the bathroom or coming to the counter to pay. We ask that you remain seated and limit your movement as much as possible. We are hoping to be able to utilise a space outdoors but are still awaiting details, until then this is not the way we ever envisioned running our business, please be understanding and appreciate that we are trying to still provide a great service whilst keeping you, our staff and ourselves safe. 10.01.2022 Covid-19 is an ever-evolving situation and as such things seem to change all the time. With that said, the good news is that as of tomorrow Wednesday 3rd June, we WILL welcome diners back again. However, dining in will be different. Due to the confines of our very intimately sized dining room, we have no choice but to implement the following: There will be two seatings; this will be enforced especially on Friday and Saturday nights. ... 1) 5:00pm - 6:45pm 2) 7:00pm - 9:00pm We encourage families with young children to take advantage of the earlier seatings. We will be implementing a minimum charge per head of $20 per person. Again this will be enforced at discretion on Friday and Saturday nights. We can only accommodate a maximum of 6 people on one table (these are state guidelines) Due to our size we will be limited to only accepting one table of six per seating session. Please note that we are restricted to a maximum number of approximately 14 seated dinner guests (depending on table configurations) - Therefore try to book and please be understanding if we cannot accept walk in bookings on the weekends. As per state guidelines we are required to record the first name and phone number of each person on your table - this includes children and babies. We also strongly encourage utilising our take away and delivery service which we believe has improved greatly over these challenging few months, this will help us to continue to flatten the curve. We must ask our lovely customers to please help us all maintain social distancing and assist us whereby possible to adhere to our new normal. There will be slight changes in our service, however you can be assured that our smiling floor staff are thrilled to be able to serve you once again.
