Marianas passion is to assist people to improve their general wellbeing, support their physical and emotional health and to recover from injuries with the right exercise and advice. She has been working consistently for the last 9 years as a massage therapist, after initially training as an Engineer. Mariana has a Diploma in Remedial Massage and is trained in Pregnancy Massage, Sports Massage, Aromather...apy, Rehabilitation Massage and also a Cert IV in Fitness, allowing her to help clients recover from injuries by recommending them exercises and stretches. 25.01.2022 WHAT MATTERS TO YOU ? Its that time of year again, with Mardi Gras about to begin... this year Sydneys glittering Mardi Gras parade will sashay down Oxford Street tonight, with dozens of floats and thousands of people set to join the annual event celebrating the LGBTQI+ community. This years Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) parade is themed "What Matters", with over 200 groups and floats to walk one of Sydneys most famous streets from 7:30pm.... While this is a fun night ahead, participants are also being asked to ponder some serious questions too. "What matters to you? What are you willing to fight for? Who will you fight for, and what are you going to do?" organisers asked. Mardi Gras CEO Albert Kruger said they consulted with the LGBTQI+ community for answers to these questions and many floats will act as calls to action. "What matters to me? We want to stand together and fight for social justice there are a few things threatening [this] one being the religious discrimination bill," he said. "It is something that is not only unfair to the LGBTQI+ community but society in general." The controversial bill, which the Government says aims to protect the freedom to practice religion, would allow medical workers to object to carrying out procedures against their faith and permit hospitals and aged care providers to hire people based on their faith. This is something that requires sensible debate as to the actual consequences and how it would then create bias and do the very thing it states it is against - discrimination based on religious grounds. Other floats include Fire and Rescue NSW, Guide Dogs NSW and the CSIRO, as well as Sydney Silverbacks Wrestling, Gay Dads NSW and a Golden Girls float, as well as Climate Change floats. I think you all know how OCD I have always been about cleanliness, health and hygeine in my salon, and this continues as it always has. We always do our daily cleaning and sterilisation of treatment equipment and rooms. We are thorough in our daily cleaning of all high touch areas with hospital grade disinfectant, including reception surfaces, door handles, and treatment areas. My latest Rosacea client came in with severe rosacea on her chin and around her nose, and in three treatments over three weeks, as well as a new moisturiser - her skin was back to normal. I thought for those of you who did not read this article, I would post it, as the good thing about this article is the explanation of how Pandemics end once there are not enough hosts, or susceptible people to infect. 15.01.2022 Further to yesterdays update we are no longer permitted to offer remedial massage. Im sorry for the confusion but theres a lot of that at the top level and we are dependent on their clarity to know what we must do. We will be offering led light therapy as we do not need to touch you during this treatment but it is one thing we can do and it is great for stress as it allows you to rest and rejuvenate your skin at the same time, calming the body and helping the mind to sett...le under a warming skin therapy light. It is also very good for arthritic joints, so put your hands on your chest and get more benefit. Its $65 for half an hour and for those of you who have tried it you know how wonderful this treatment is. We have had incredible results for rosacea and seen improvements in three sessions. We will still be supplying all of our cleaning and skincare and practitioner supplements to everyone. We have just had a big delivery so feel free to come in and even just say hello and share how you are going as we are all thinking of you and sending you lots of strength and love. Ps. 13.01.2022 Do you experience unpleasant or uncomfortable sensations in the legs such as cramps, uncomfortable tingling and burning, or irresistible urge to move them? If so, you could be suffering from Restless legs syndrome (RLS). This is a common condition with symptoms commonly occurring in the late afternoon or evening hours, and are often most severe at night when a person is resting. It is also common in pregnancy. Regular massage therapy can help ease the symptoms of RLS.... Using a heat pack, having a warm bath or placing an ice pack on your symptomatic areas for 10-15mins before bed may also help relieve symptoms as well as supplementation such as magnesium biglycinate specifically. 09.01.2022 Conversation overheard last night by three kids next door jumping on trampoline - all about 8 years old... kid 1 accidentally hits the other kid 2 who gets upset. The first kid who hit him says Im sorry I didnt mean to hurt you - kid 2 grizzles - then the kid 1 says - Im really sorry - it was just a coincidence Kid 2 grizzles more and leaves the trampoline. Kid 3 says to kid 1 whats a coincidence ? Kid 1 says - oh - its like - Im thinking about a yellow Ferrari and then I see one as well as a red Lamborghini - thats what a coincidence is - you know - those ones the rich people have Only in Bondi 8 years OLD !!!

06.01.2022 On the back of our last post, I hope everyone is listening to the Health Minister who said yesterday that the coronavirus is a flu and like many flus - some people will have it and have no or mild symptoms, just like any other flu virus. He stated that the elderly and people who have compromised health (and low immunity) are the people who are most vulnerable, as in any other flu epidemic. We have worked out - thanks to Martin - that 0.00125% of the entire world population ha...ve it so far, which is pretty small in the scheme of things. So, for those of you who are concerned who have issues with your immune system or want to boost it anyway as its always a good idea at times like this anyway, then there are plenty of things you can do. Take lots of Vitamin C, get out in the sunshine, we have plenty of immune herbs such as Andro NK, Immunotone or Imrex - yes we stock them all, which have reishi and shitaake mushrooms added in, Super mushroom drops and powders which are all great with their anti-viral properties. and I can also make up personalised lung tonics with Euphorbia, Echinacea, Thyme, Sage and many other delicious lung strengthening herbs. 05.01.2022 And the run is done ! This year I chose to run for men’s health - we have had three men die from suicide from our local area in the past few weeks and it’s been a tragic loss for all friends, community and family. Approximately 70% of suicides are men in Australia with approximately 6 men and 2 women a day taking their own lives. What struck me yet again about the value we give to life was how important the little things are - the gestures of help, thanks and appreciation ...for one another - all those moments and people we cherish - we really don’t need the big fanfare and grand successes to feel okay - we just have to appreciate all of those small acts of kindness, and remind ourselves how meaningful these are to others when we offer them up, as well as to ourselves when given to. Men are so often expected to be bulletproof, even when they may have been abused and hurt as children, and they need to feel comfortable to reach out and be supported - and they also need to feel safe and cared for. Let’s make sure the men in our community are ok too. See more

01.01.2022 Day 7 of stripping the floors at Sage, keeping us occupied between the thousands of clients coming in ooops, did I exaggerate ??? Looking forward to seeing pretty much anyone who wants to pop their head in the door to say hi ! We think we will be finished this by Wednesday then we will re-coat with lovely sparkly new varnish.
