Within this series I will discuss everything from preconception pathology screening, naturopathic preconception considerations, how to enhance your fertility naturally, to egg freezing, intrauterine insemination (IUI) & in vit...ro fertilisation (IVF). The aim of this series is to provide you with the information you need to identify your own unique fertility needs & how naturopathy can help you optimise your fertility outcomes, no matter where you are on your fertility journey. 22.01.2022 Happy World Sexual Health Day . Repost @ailiebanks . "World Sexual Health Day is all about breaking down social and cultural taboos associated with sexuality and to promote positive sexual health around the world.... Did you know that almost 75% of young womxn and non-binary people surveyed in YWAG’s 2015 Let’s Talk Survey did not feel confident in their understanding of pleasure following their school’s sexual education and over 60% were not taught about consent? Go follow @YWCAAustralia and @ywag.era for all the info and remember pleasure is for everyone!" . Remember, pleasure is self care! Go celebrate with yourself or your significant other(s) . . . . . #2 @pleasure_and_peach

17.01.2022 Womxn's Health Week . 7th - 11th of September is when we bring everything Womxn's health to the forefront . In my opinion, 5 days a year is no where near enough time to educate & raise awareness around the myriad of different health challenges womxn face ... . One key thing I do think we should be talking about is education for all MENSTRUATORS - not all women menstruate, & not all people who menstruate are women . Swipe through to the end to read the excellent resource @queeriousquest has created to see how we can create a more inclusive space to talk about people that get their periods irrespective of the gender binary . Visibility & inclusivity is key for change! . Sending love to all womxn this week. Thanks for being you! . See more

17.01.2022 Today is Trans Day of Visibility A day to celebrate trans identity & diversity, & to remind us & our wonderful trans community that they are seen, heard, & loved

17.01.2022 R U OK? . RP @ruokday . "It's #RUOKDay, a reminder that every day is a day to start a conversation that could change a life... Today we're calling on Australians to learn what to say after R U OK? so they can keep the conversation going when someone says they're not OK. There's more to say after R U OK? Learn what to say when listening with an open mind Learn what to say when encouraging action Learn what to say when checking in Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. Learn what to say next and help us move closer to our vision of a world where we're all connected and are protected from suicide. Head to www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask" . Mental health is something that we need to de-stigmatize, & continually talk about to normalise it for our community. Talking about our feelings & struggles, & getting help is a key part of our overall health & wellbeing . The government has extended mental health care plans from 10 to 20 sessions, that you can access via referral from your doctor . Your feelings are important & valid, & if you're needing help speak to your doctor, & consider utilising what herbal medicine & key nutritionals have to offer .

10.01.2022 Tomorrow is the first day of Spring! . RP @metagenics_anz "The arrival of warmer weather, green leaves and fresh blossoms is normally one people look forward too, unless you suffer from allergies! ... . One of the biggest spring allergy triggers is pollen. Trees, grasses and weeds release these tiny grains into the air to fertilise other plants . Unfortunately, for some, it triggers discomfort with a scratchy throat, itchy eyes and stuffy nose as they experience an allergic reaction . People with pollen allergies their immune system mistakenly identifies pollen as an intruder, therefore it mounts an inappropriate response to the harmless substance and has become hyperactive This causes specialised immune cells, known as mast cells, to migrate to your nose and throat, where they release histamine This chemical triggers an explosion of inflammation, which forces foreign particles out of your body. It is the swelling and irritation that inflammation causes which leads to the miserable symptoms of hay fever " . Do you suffer with allergies or seasonal allergies such as hayfever? Do you want to reduce your reliance on antihistamines to get through the day? Do you want to reduce your symptoms & improve your immunity long term? I can help! . Link in bio

09.01.2022 Happy Wear it Purple Day (WIPD) . RP @austretailers WIPD first started 10 years ago, setting out to support LGBTIQ+ young people, showing them they have the right to be proud of who they are It's about creating safe spaces in schools, universities, workplaces and public spaces to show LGBTIQ+ young people that they are seen and supported... @wear_it_purple has four key focus areas: awareness, opportunity, environment, collaboration Last year, over 750 schools, community organisations and universities held events across Australia and through the activities of schools that recognise Wear it Purple Day, reached an estimated 600,000 young people, seeing the respect, acceptance and inclusion that surrounds them . Our youth are our future. Wear something purple today to show our LGBTIQA+ youth that they are loved, valid, respected, & safe

06.01.2022 I've been feeling so grateful these past few weeks for the beginning of Spring, & the much needed sunshine it has been bringing back in to my iso life nothing better than eating lunch &/or an early dinner outside on the couch in the sun . Enter Baked Sweet Potato With Turkey Chilli topped with rocket, like juice, & hummus , & a cheeky @lobroslivingdrinks lemon, lime, & bitters kombucha on the side .... Serves 4 . Ingredients: 400-600g of sweet potato 1 x brown onion 400g extra lean turkey mince 1 x jar of passata 1 x chilli seasoning of choice or sweet paprika, smoked paprika, & chilli powder to taste 100g of black beans Juice of 1 fresh lime Pinch of sea salt Rocket Hummus to serve . Method: Cut sweet potato in half or in to 100-150g portions Cover in 1 top of extra virgin olive oil & rub with a pinch of salt Roast in oven at 180-200C until cooked through While sweet potato is baking start cooking your turkey chilli Sautee onion in pan Add Turkey & cook until brown Add black beans & chilli seasoning/herbs & stir through until evenly covered Add jar of passata, lime juice & pinch of sea salt & stir through Let simmer for 5 - 10 minutes then take off heat & cover with lid Once sweet potato is ready Place 1 serve of sweet potato in a bowl, & gently smash with a fork Top with 1/4 of chilli mix Add rocket, & a dollop of hummus (I'll leave dollop to your interpretation in case you, like me looove hummus) Serve & enjoy! . 06.01.2022 #Repost @thequeeradvocate . "Today, September 2, is Indigenous Literacy Day, which focuses on raising awareness of the literacy gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous folks. Having books that people can connect and identify with is an important part of reading, so I have put together a list of books by, featuring and about Indigenous LGBTIQA+ people in Australia. Please comment below if you have any other recommendations. I’d also like to recommend making a donation to @in...digenousliteracyfoundation who provide books to remote Indigenous communities. In these communities, only 36% of Indigenous Year 5 students are at or above the national minimum reading standards compared to 96% of non-Indigenous students in major cities. On top of this, most remote communities report having fewer than five books in the family home. This is why supporting Indigenous remote communities and raising awareness of the literacy gap is so important " See more

04.01.2022 A friend shared this article with me today & its such a relevant read for why those of us confined to working from home are struggling with the balance between productivity & honouring time to rest. I thought I would share it with you all as it helped me to understand a bit better from a psychological point of view, including perspective & reframing
