Cost is $99. I have also got a payment plan of $9.90 for 10 weeks. Once you pay you can take as long as you need to complete the workshop. 15.01.2022 Happy Thursday!!!

15.01.2022 COVID-19 update: With the ongoing risk of COVID-19 in the community, a number of public health measures are now in place for regional NSW. This includes the Wi...ngecarribee Shire. Here’s an update on what’s happening at Council: Face masks must be worn when visiting any Council facility. This includes our Moss Vale Civic Centre, Bowral Library and any external administration offices. Remember to check in and out of any business you visit using the NSW Government QR code. Mittagong Library has temporarily closed, and the Mobile Library has temporarily reverted back to a ‘Click and Collect' service. All Bushcare working bees up until Friday 9 July have been cancelled. NAIDOC Week activities cancelled. The Southern Regional Livestock Exchange is closed to the public, buyers and sellers can still attend auctions. Now here’s the good news: Our 24/7 Contact Centre is open and operating as usual on phone 02 4868 0888. Our online services remain unaffected. Bowral Central Library remains open with COVID-safe measures in place, face masks must be worn when visiting. The Home Library Service will also continue, and a number of events have moved online. Visit https://library.wsc.nsw.gov.au/ for more information. Plastic Free July activities and bushfire response community listening events are now being hosted online. Wingecarribee Children's Services Vacation Care program continues with a few changes to activities - parents and carers, remember to wear a mask for drop off and pick up. Family Day Care is also continuing but check with your Educator about any changes to their operations. Children displaying any COVID like symptoms must not attend care until they return a COVID negative test result and are symptom-free. You can still exercise outdoors and attend playgrounds but remember to keep a distance from others. Thank you for your understanding as we work through these challenges. Getting tested and following NSW Health advice even with the slightest symptoms is especially important during this time. Everyone's actions will make a difference. Keep up to date with the latest information at https://nsw.gov.au/covid-19

15.01.2022 Today is R U OK DAY. Each year we lose over 800,000 people to suicide and it’s one of the top 10 leading causes of death. Eight Australians die every day by su...icide. That’s more than double the road toll. 75% of those who take their own life are male. Over 65,000 Australians make a suicide attempt each year. These stats are from 2018. They’re the most recent stats we have found. Many people always say today, but why today? Why not everyday? We are actively trying to prevent suicide and give men a space to feel safe to come to get support every single day. The question is are you? Are you doing the things everyday to actively support those around you? Checking in, listening and rechecking in? Today I want to ask everyone to reflect on their own practices with the people around them and really think about if they feel that they can do more from today forward. R U OK DAY is everyday. It should be in our daily practices. Our every conversation. Think about how we talk to people. The questions we ask them. The things we say- are they supportive or dismissive? Listen and don’t try to fix. Be there without being asking. Follow up check ins are important. Have the support lifelines one hand, I will post these in the next post. You could save a life.

14.01.2022 This one for me is all about 'practicing what you preach'! I can run self-esteem workshops for kids all day long, teach growth mindset to anxious students, and ...help parents to re-frame their mistakes as learning opportunities; then go home and beat myself up for any number of reasons. I know I'm not alone as there seems to be an epidemic of being hard on yourself in the caring professions. How about you? Are you your worst critic? Let's make a pact to treat ourselves the ways we teach others to treat themselves!

12.01.2022 "I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels ...bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it's true I'm here, and I'm just as strange as you. Frida Kahlo Frida Kahlo by Guillermo Kahlo (father), 1932.

10.01.2022 Today is R U OK?Day and if your response is "What do you think - of course I'm not OK!" then you're not alone. 2020 has been a challenging, painful year full of... grief, stress, isolation and uncertainty - particularly for families in Victoria. We are giving birth with only one support person by our side. We are grieving the maternity leave we'd been dreaming of. We are FaceTiming grandparents instead of watching them hold and kiss and delight in our babies. We are learning how to be mothers and fathers, without our village. We are juggling newborns and homeschooling older siblings. We are logging on to antenatal classes online and wondering if we'll know what to do when the baby arrives. We are anxious, so, so, anxious and many of our usual coping mechanisms have been taken away. We are crying because we're burnt out and exhausted, tired to our bones and wondering when life will feel "normal" again. It's completely understandable to be struggling at the moment, to be feeling out of your depth and turned inside out and upside down. But you are not alone - and help is available. Please don't suffer in silence. Don't wait to seek support. You are not a burden. You are loved. You are needed. And there is hope. Over on our site we have detailed information about how to seek treatment. You can also contact us directly if you need help working out where to turn. Don’t forget, also, to check in on the new parents around you. Asking the question may just save a life. We are here for you today - and always. https://www.cope.org.au/getting-help/ Image by Spirit Y Sol
