12.01.2022 Another reason to move and stay free within your joints! You would think that we would all have the ability to lift something safely above our heads - however it doesn’t always work that way. The body works in a mysterious way always trying keep us safe!!... This is where the saying ‘if you don’t use it you lose it’ comes in. With the body always working to keep us safe, if we aren’t regularly lifting or moving in certain positions the joint become weak and unstable in that position and starts close down ranges of motion in order to protect the joint. However, when we go and try to use that weaker range of motion we end up being tight, restricted and weak and forcing ourselves into these positions can cause strain or injury!!
