25.01.2022 Some wonderful news formally confirmed this afternoon. #TheWeapon has been offered a place at Sydney’s prestigious Meriden School and will, as of next Monday, be playing golf for the school under their renowned Olympus Sports Program. They’re providing her all the best support she needs to excel both academically and with her golf, including access to the best facilities and professional staff at the school’s sports centre. We’re thrilled that she’s finally right where she needs to be, and that Meriden not only recognise her golfing success, but plan to nurture it into the future. Well done Sahara! 22.01.2022 In an adult field of 89 players in her first comp since turning 13, #TheWeapon came in 2nd in todays tournament at her home course #ConcordGolfClub. (Playing in groups of only 2, strict tee times, maximum numbers carefully checked & social distancing adhered to at all times of course) WELL DONE SAHARA! She really is amazing.
21.01.2022 #TheWeapon just received her silver medal for the 2021 CIS regional golf tournament. She really impressed, a 13 year old teeing off against 17 year olds playing under scratch. Tomorrow she’s playing the NSW state championship representing #MeridenSchool & the field is HUGE. Best of luck Sahara!
21.01.2022 Today was enrolment day. #TheWeapon got to meet her new year convenor, the head of the Olympus sports program Sahara will be studying under, got her full school uniform & shiny new shoes and topped the day off with a cute little Meriden teddy bear for her bedroom. The teachers & staff at Meriden have us absolutely blown away. So helpful and caring. She’s had so much attention in one day and she doesn’t even start till Monday! 2021 is certainly going well for us so far. Feeling particularly blessed. #Meriden #DiaryOfAGolfMum
