19.01.2022 URGENT : Qantas flight bookings open We confirm that the Qantas flight from Melbourne to Johannesburg is now open for booking on their website https://www.qantas.com//qantas-in/johannesburg-flight.html... Please take note that bookings will only be open until 18:00 on Thursday, 23 April 2020. The Qantas flight QF7025 will depart Melbourne at 11:00am on Tuesday, 28 April and arrive in Johannesburg at 17:00 on 28 April 2020. Current Qantas ticket holders will be able to use their Qantas flight credit towards this flight. Please see above link for further details. We are awaiting confirmation from the Australian authorities for a South African Airways flight from Perth to Johannesburg during the course of next week. We are presently not in a position to confirm this flight, but all parties are working hard towards finalisation of this option. We will keep you informed.

15.01.2022 URGENT: TICKETS FOR SAA FLIGHT Dear South Africans Due to the lockdown in Australia, SAA Australia staff are all working remotely to finalise your tickets for the Perth/ JHB flight departing on 30 April 2020.... We have just spoken to SAA, they are hard at work issuing your airline tickets. Those of you who have paid and have not as yet received an e-ticket or travel itinerary, please send us your full names, passport numbers and a contact number in Australia where you can be reached tonight and tomorrow morning AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, to enable us to double check with SAA. Plse use the email admin.canberra@dirco .gov.za Those who have already been issued with an e-ticket or travel itinerary kindly ignore this email.

12.01.2022 Dear Fellow South Africans The Australian Authorities approved a SAA flight from Perth to Johannesburg. ... The flight will take place next week on a date that will very soon be confirmed with you, but our expectation is 29 or 30 April 2020. In the meantime you can immediately start securing your ticket. Attached the communication from SAA regarding the process to be followed. PLEASE START IMMEDIATELY. Departure from Perth, Western Australia: See the Quarantine (Closing the Border) Directions, but this remains at the discretion of WA Police and time limits apply. In order to seek an exemption, passengers need to complete the Request for Approval as an Exempt Traveller form (this can be done at the airport, but can be completed in advance). On arrival into Perth, they will need to provide the assessing WA Police Inspector with evidence of their onwards international travel. The exemption application form can also be emailed to WA Police prior to travel: [email protected]. Passengers will then be given a quarantine direction to depart WA on their scheduled flight. If outbound international flight is on the same day as a passenger’s arrival into Perth, they will likely be directed to stay at the airport until departure (including travelling directly from the domestic to international terminal by the most direct route and maintaining social distancing). If transit time is more than 12 hours (with some discretion), passengers may be given a direction to self-isolate at a hotel before proceeding directly back to the international airport for their planned departure. It is possible to enter Western Australia by road after receiving permission. Details can be found on the Western Australian Government website listed above. If you are requesting entry on compassionate grounds or otherwise seeking approval to enter WA, you must not enter WA until you have received approval from WA Police via email. Please note submitting the form and supporting documentation does not constitute approval. You must carry your exemption form and proof of its submission when travelling. You may be asked to produce this documentation at a check point or by WA Police patrolling the area. Regards
