23.01.2022 Today we were very lucky to receive KMART gift vouchers to the value of $25.00 for our clients. Special thanks to Beyond Travel who are such strong ongoing supporters of SAHSSI. The vouchers have been distributed to our many locations to give to clients who need essential items. Thank you Michael, SAHSSI appreciates the support you give to our clients.

22.01.2022 Special thanks to out friends at Generocity Church Kiama for the 19 food hampers we received for our clients. The hampers also came with a warm message of love, a beautiful touch! The 19 food hampers will be distributed to our crisis accommodation sites and to our outreach clients. Thank you so much Generocity Church, you definitely know how to light up someones life! ... 21.01.2022 Something special came our way this week. Liz from the Country Womens Association Keiraville branch delivered 5 x $30.00 vouchers for our clients who need a little extra help. Thank you CWA we just love our SAHSSI supporters.

20.01.2022 In December 2019, SAHSSI were invited to join the Generocity Church Kiama for their wreath making workshop. SAHSSI joined in with the wreath making, which was lots of fun but serious! Afterwards we talked about the effects of domestic violence and how someone can help a person in need. From this night the Generocity Church donated 10 x $20.00 KMART vouchers for our clients. This comes at a great time since winter is here and our clients can purchase new items of clothing an...d other essentials to keep warm. 14.01.2022 It was so great to catch up with James from The Lenores last week to thank him and the band for their donation earlier in the year. The Lenores donated proceeds of their gig including album sales to SAHSSI - more than $900!

12.01.2022 The Community Hair Project (CHP) visits homeless shelters, Womens refuges and community centres around Australia to provide free haircuts. Hairdressers volunteer their time and we appreciate the service and the happiness they bring. Today we welcomed Zoe from the Community Hair Project who came to one of our crisis accommodation sites offering free haircuts and styling to our clients. Thank you Zoe, you have a beautiful loving personality and our clients loved it! Thanks Zoe and CHP

10.01.2022 Yesterday, we picked up 24 meals freshly made by our supporters The EVE Project AU and delivered them to our crisis accommodation sites in the local area. 09.01.2022 It was great to meet up with the Zonta Club of Wollongong group last night. The Zonta Club members prepared 12 home starter packs for our clients who are moving into their new homes after leaving domestic or family abuse. The tubs are filled with home care and hygiene products, all the little things that are so easy to forget, until they are needed. SAHSSI also thanks the lovely young ladies from St Mary Star of the Sea Z club who shared their stories and helped with the preparation of the packs. Zonta supports the community in so many ways and we sincerely thank them for the ongoing support to SAHSSI.

09.01.2022 With Winter approaching it was a warm feeling in Kiama when we visited Tracey at Angels Hair at Kiama to pick up much needed donations from the local community. The wonderful donations consisted of food, cash to purchase food vouchers and other essential items for our clients. Thank you so much Kiama, we appreciate all that you do to support women and children in need.

08.01.2022 How amazing are the Layback Living team In addition to inviting us to be one of their current Charity partners, they have donated this new lounge to us for one of our women's refuges And they are donating great-quality second hand lounges to us to pass on to women and families in need in our region.

For every seat sold, the customer selects one of three local charities for their $5 token. Well today we have received an incredible $435 donation! 02.01.2022 Last week we caught up with Helen, a lovely representative from the Gerringong LIONS Club in Berry. Once again,The Gerringong Lions Club presented us with a $2000.00 cheque, which will allow us to support purchase much needed essential items for our clients and we sincerely thank them for thinking of us each year. Thank you Helen for meeting with us in a warm, friendly cafe in Berry, it's always nice to have a coffee and catch up.

02.01.2022 Huge thanks to Megan and Kara from HMAS Albatross who braved the cold last night to deliver pizzas to the women and children staying at Nowra Refuge HMAS Albatross have been an ongoing supporter of SAHSSI and the women and children of the Shoalhaven. Initially they reached out to host a Christmas in July for our families however due to the current health crisis, this wasn’t possible and so they very enterprisingly came up with the alternative idea to deliver pizzas Thank you HMAS Albatross and Megan and Kara who came out late last night: you are our pizza community angels

02.01.2022 This week SAHSSI welcomed Jade from the Wave FM 96.5 breakfast show with Jade, Straney and Damien Leith. Jade visited one of our crisis accommodation sites to interview a Case Manager and talk about what it's like in a refuge and to work out what items are helpful for clients when they arrive at the refuge with little to no belongings. 01.01.2022 Yesterday Julie from the Zonta Club of Wollongong dropped off over 120 emergency packs filled with toiletries and underwear, perfect for the times that we have new clients arrive with very little. All are packed with care and sizes labelled for our convenience, which we truely appreciate.
