25.01.2022 ENOUGH is ENOUGH, let’s put a STOP to Sham Contracting - where an employee / person(s) have no choice but to acquire or use an ABN to work for a company / business. Make a Difference - www.saiga.org.au #STAND #STRONG and #UNITE with #SAIGA
16.01.2022 As it stands today, each State has a Licensing body whom does NOT proactively nor effectively regulate / Police the Security and Investigation Industry. It can also be said that many of the Licensing bodies still cannot tell you your rights under the relevant Law, Act or Regulation and in some cases one can get 5 or 6 different answers to the same question.....How silly is that??? You would think that if you had a serious question for the "Licensing Body" that at least you would get a consistent answer!! 09.01.2022 For far too long, security and investigative personnel have been missing out on Fair Work Place Practices to say the least, and many who work in the industry are either too scared to say anything or too afraid to come forward, in fear or retaliation by their employer / third party or by being blacklisted within the industry making them jobless and or unemployable. Despite its vital role, the Security and Investigation industry is in crisis, ferocious price wars have spread ac...ross the industry as has the controlling and corruptible devices set by various Companies / Businesses trying to control and monopolize the industries. ENOUGH is ENOUGH, let’s put a STOP to unfair workplace practices; it is about time that the Industry is cleaned up for the better of all who work in it and for every Australian! 05.01.2022 You breezed through your interview and were told you got the job. You turn up the next day and are handed a massive bundle of documents and are asked to sign them. You begin to read the first page and begin to get overwhelmed at how much you have to read plus you are being pressured to sign the documents so you can start workor possibly you do not read so well and are embarrassed to ask for some help. Either way, and whatever the scenario, were you provided sufficient ti...me to read through them and or given the opportunity to seek assistance to ensure that you were not signing something that you shouldn’t be?? Be careful of employers making you sign documents without ensuring you understand them fully. You should NEVER sign any documents that you DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND nor should you sign any document without having time to read through them or being able to seek advice. #STAND #STRONG and #UNITE with #SAIGA
