25.01.2022 To all those feeling distraught at not being able to go to the Dunkeld Cup today I say REJOICE. Why , I hear you ask. Because , lucky people , you can EAT your way back to happiness at the SAIGON KITCHEN . Yes , we are open even on Cup day. Lovely, tasty authentic vietnamese food. Open for lunch & dinner . Who needs the Dunkeld Cup , the race that stops the high street ? Bah !

23.01.2022 Wonderful customers. The Kitchen will be closed for Mary to take a well-earned break from Friday 7th June to Thursday 4th July. We look forward to seeing you again on her return.

18.01.2022 Now hear this, now hear this. Due to unforseen circumstances the kitchen will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday 24th. Whatever you do, good people, do not despair or call our wonderful emergency services in an hysterical panic as normal (whatever that is around here) service will resume on THURSDAY 25th. All is not lost, be strong !

11.01.2022 RELIEF IS AT HAND . People, Chief Cook Mary has returned from her well deserved break with recharged batteries & her usual enthusiasm intact. She will be spending today (Wednesday) preparing things for the re-ignting of the burners & re-opening of the Saigon Kitchen TOMORROW JULY 4th . YAY. We look forward to seeing you all from tomorrow when you will once again be able to enjoy your favourite authentic vietnamese dishes.

10.01.2022 Valued customers, friends Due to a serious family medical situation our wonderful chief cook , Mary, will be travelling to Vietnam tomorrow to be with her beloved family. Therefore the Kitchen will be closed from now until further notice. I'm sure you'll join me in sending our sincerest best wishes with her to convey to the family at this difficult time & that our thoughts are with them. Updates on the situation will appear on this page . Thankyou each & all for your understanding .

10.01.2022 Ladies & gennelmen, boys & girls & any other interested beings & creatures to whom it may concern. Chief Cook Mary (not her real name, of course) has decreed that she will no longer be toiling over the burners & sizzlers on SATURDAY EVENINGS for the remainder of winter. She WILL , however, be open on SATURDAYS from 10am - 2pm as normal & , of course, MONDAY - THURSDAY 9am-5pm & FRIDAY 9am - 2pm & from 5pm - 8pm. Decisions , decisions.

01.01.2022 Apologies apologies to one & all. At very short notice we have to announce that the Kitchen will not be open today, Wednesday 29th. Late last night Martians came & abducted Mary saying they've heard how fantastic her Pho is & they were taking her back to the red planet to cook for them. They've promised to return her tonight ready to ignite the burners again tomorrow Thursday 30th. Sorry everybody, lucky Martians.
