17.01.2022 This years event is coming along great. Both the CCYS and CYC are putting in alot on planning to give the racers 4 days of fun. We currently have 2 OFFICIAL entries and plenty of crews saying the can't wait. If you only sail one event this year, make it this one! So pull out your calenders, put in for your time off and get an entry in for the TWW Sail Cairns Regatta

15.01.2022 24 boats salvaged so far still have quite a few to go. The crews well earned first weekend off since Debby came to town! Back into it on Monday!

15.01.2022 Gone Cruising,. Over the last couple of days, Michael has been going, going, going on his Sanssouci. Left Mackay on to Shaw Island (see a previous post). From... then on he made rather long days and good progress to; Gloucester Passage, about 50 miles on to Cape Upstart, about 60 miles on to Cape Cleveland and another 60 miles to Lucinda. And as far as he’s concerned,.the sailing north of Mackay is so much more fun in friendlier sea conditions! Unquestionably there is an enormous difference in certain stretches of sea on the east coast of Australia. Some are tricky, some are easy, some are unpredictable, some are like a washing machine. Michael has had more than his fair share of challenging times and is about to catch up with Ovedie. After nearly 4 months, it’s time to catch up again face to face with a proper coffee, bottle of wine or rum. Come on Michael, one more leg to Gayundah Creek where Ovedie and crew are waiting for you. Well done, all those long days as a solo sailor, time to relax now mate! See more
