25.01.2022 Hi Everyone, we will try sailing this week. Not perfect conditions though. Fast running out tide, minimal wind, chance of showers. (maybe bring a change of clothes just in case you get caught under a shower) Approx 9am 12md. Volunteers will start an hour earlier. Marion (Sec)

21.01.2022 Hi all, it has been advised under the current uncertainty surrounding COVID - 19 that we suspend all sailing operations for the current term. After Easter it will be revised. As you would have heard, Townsville has it’s first positive case now. So we now all have to be more vigilant than we have been in the past. Please stay safe. wash hands regularly, eat healthy food groups and stay away from large groups if possible. See you all in the near future we will keep in contact while we are on this break through this time, via FB and email. We will update our position as new advice comes to hand. 19.01.2022 As we all know, predicting the weather at this time of year is a day to day thing. In the interest of everyone’s safety, there will be NO SAILING this week (Friday 13 March). Not only rain / showers, but 24 + knts wind are predicted. (Ideal sailing is 10 - 15 knt winds) Maybe better conditions next week.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, Due to the forecast for high temperatures ( 37o), there will be NO SAILING this Friday 14th Feb. Just too hot for our volunteers and sailors.

08.01.2022 Cancellation Notice Sailability has been cancelled for the next TWO weeks, due to most of our volunteers having other commitments. ----- NO SAILING Wednesday 30 Oct and 6 Nov. ----- We aim to try again for a sailing day on Wednesday 13th Nov.

08.01.2022 At this stage looking at the wind we are experiencing now i would have no doubt that sailing is off Wednesday. This would be the strongest we have had all year so we can't complain. Plus tides are not as good as first looked at.

07.01.2022 Hi all, we plan start 2020 with a sailing day on Friday 7 Feb. 9am approx. 11.30 / 12md. Forecast for Friday Winds = 10? knts SE Tide = high tide at 8.04am of 3.67m falling quickly with about 2m at pack up time.... Temp = 34 o with possible shower. UV extreme. Humidity will be high. Some of our volunteers are still away, so please notify us if you want to book in for a Sail. ( we may not have all 4 boats on the water) We would appreciate a hand to set up / pack up too. 06.01.2022 Hi all, have been watching the weather for a while now. While the rain looks like clearing up, the forecast is for a HOT and HUMID 35o, with minimal winds. This will make it too uncomfortable for our volunteers and participants. Especially those with thermoregulation issues. For everyone’s comfort we will not be sailing on Friday 28 Feb.

02.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone involved and attended the Atwork Australia bi-anual picnic day. Sailability Townsville and All Abilities Ski Club were represented and on the water. The sailing was a bit hectic with lots of wind in the river. With myself and Marion away in Brisbane it was left up to other volunteers to run. And run it they did with precision thankyou to skipper Lindsey support boat Bree and Jeff and Jenna pontoon Dan, KJ, Tanette. What a great day plenty of clients sailed thankyou to all of you, you are very special people. The clients smiles are the reason we continue to come back.

02.01.2022 Sorry to disappoint everyone, but there will be NO SAILING this Friday 21 Feb, due to some of our volunteers having other commitments.
