24.01.2022 Chris is a sailor who has Multiple Sclerosis; to make sailing easier he has a few special adaptions to his Hansa Liberty. This means he can sail with anyone and... race in the open Hansa fleet! Chris is a regular sailor with @RutlandSailability and enjoys racing with the Liberty fleet around the UK and overseas. Supportive seating and a special set of cleats enable Chris to operate his boat with servo controls; Hansa sailing really is accessible for everyone! Watch our short video to find out more..... @mssocietyuk @weareundefeatable @RYASailability #MoreThanSailing #MultipleSclerosis #MS #HansaSailing #undefeatable See more

10.01.2022 Sailability Albany trials sailing activities from Albany Marina. There were some bemused looks from the Albany foreshore as four Hansa 303s rounded the marina entry this morning. Geoff and "tail-end Charlie" Susette made sure that our 303s were safely relocated to their temporary home in the Albany Boatshed. Keep a look out over the winter break for these colourful boats on the marina. Thank you to Albany Maritime Foundation for your invitation to take a winter break across the harbour .

10.01.2022 Today we had our volunteers honing their skills in sailing and the best way to do that is to race against each other. We had 6 303s mostly with 2 people in the...m sailing and Ross Mann coaching and timing them from the dock. We had 2 clients sail also who have very little movement in their hands, but with the help of joy sticks and any other improvised equipment that will help them, they too can, and want to race and not just sail. If you wish to participate you need to come down early around 8am to assist in rigging the yachts then coffee and biscuits, and when finished assist in de rigging, this way you know what the different sheets are for and how to rig your yacht safely. We are usually finished about 12 pm. If you are interested please contact us on Sailablilty Gold Coast FB or [email protected] for more details. See more
