25.01.2022 What are people's experiences of anchoring behind Cape Bowling Green when on the way up the coast from Cape Upstart to Townsville or Magnetic Island? We had always bypassed it and done the 70+ miles in a long day passage but this time decided to stop. ROB THINKS THIS IS THE BEST EVER.- In the ‘Our Galley’ segment, Karen poaches beautiful deep sea Nannygai fillets in delicious Thai spices and coconut cream to produce what Rob described as One of THE tastiest fish dishes ever." 01.01.2022 Sailing SV No Regrets sail north from Townsville and visit Orpheus Island to see the clam gardens, which were planted in the 1980s, the garden is now populated by several hundred clams each weighing 150 200 kilograms. After waiting for the tide to come in we get to see them squirting water creating quite a view. We move around to nearby small uninhabited island Fantome Island to view the ruins from the 1928 lock hospital, and the leper colony which was present from 1939 to 1973.
