I have had pleasure of catering for The Safety Beach Sailing Club since it underwent extensive renovations in 2007. Over that time, we have developed and grown alongside the club, holding many different kinds of events, which has inevitably established our reputation as a great destination, for not only sailing, but also food and hospitality. Good food from local produce is our passion and we aim for personalised service with every event. We regularly hold food and wine dinners for various groups, allowing us to indulge, as well as operating our regular A La Carte and kiosk menus which have developed a strong following. Other successes include hosting the State Governor of Victoria, holding the Open Bic Worlds, celebrating the clubs 50th anniversary, Sail Peninsula as well as regular Regattas of State and National level, not to mention Wedding Receptions, Special events and conferencing. Food and hospitality have taken me to some amazing locations - from the Queensland Islands on the Great Barrier Reef to Central Australia and subsequently all over Europe, where I developed a deep appreciation for food, my work environment, and enjoyed learning many different styles of cuisine alongside some inspiring chefs, in mostly luxury resorts and 5-star hotels. After arriving back to Australia, I continued my career as the Executive Chef of Yarra Yarra Golf Club, Bentleigh East, enjoying 11 years, hosting many Womans Australian Open Golf Tournaments, celebrating the clubs 100th Anniversary and where I was fortunate to be part of the team that helped plan and design the new club house, culminating in an amazing Gala with over 800 guests. I am most proud of having all my family actively involved in what we do and with the club. They have been a constant throughout this whole journey and I couldnt do what I do without them and the wonderful support we have received from the membership. We are hopeful that restrictions may be lifted in time, and if they are, this will be one INCREDIBLE REGATTA YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS!... We will throw everything at it to make it another huge success! Bigger than Ben Hur! Just put the dates in your diary and we will keep you up to date as we approach February 19/20/21 in 2021.
