10.01.2022 One door closes, so that another can open. Sails, due to re-open in the Spring would like to advise that is closed until new owners can be found. This is a great opportunity for those wishing a sea change to purchase a prominent, established and popular restaurant for less than the cost of the fit-out. Situated in the Iconic sea side town of Robe on the jump on or jump off to the Great Ocean Road Sails restaurant has been successfully trading for the past 10 years.... Set in a historic Main Street building known as ‘The Gallery’, the restaurant has received a major upgrade in the past twelve months, is fully appointed and is ready to go. The lease, fit out, and trading name are for sale. For more information please make contact via Email: [email protected] About the building: Built in the 1800s ‘The Gallery’, in one of the most prominent locations in Robe, was originally a photographers studio and was tastefully extended in 2002 to create the restaurant. Over the past two years the building and fit out have been extensively upgraded resulting in modern, contemporary facilities. About the Business Sails at Robe was established ten years ago in a smaller building in the main street. Under the management of the former owners it moved to the new, larger premises four years ago. It is a popular dining choice amongst locals, inter and intra-staters as well as international customers that return time and again. Internationally, Robe is being featured as a jump on - jump off point of the Great Ocean Road and lately we have noticed an upsurge in International Customers visiting Robe. Reason for the Sale In late 2018 the long term owner of the business, for family reasons decided not to renew their lease. As the owners of the building, we put a team together to keep it open. Thanks to the Summer of 2018 Team, we couldn’t have done it without you but - Now it is time to find new owners. -
