06.01.2022 The parishioners of Saint John’s and Saint Agnes’ celebrate the 1st anniversary of the commissioning of our Vicar, The Reverend Dr Alexander Ross on the 29th of June 2020. As a young Vicar, Alex has brought to this role everything we could have wished for. He has shown true dedication facing every challenge with strength, thoughtfulness, discretion, compassion and vision. We are most grateful for his ministry and the added pleasure that his wife Kirsty and children William and Bella have brought to our parish. Fr Alex - we know we are truly blessed to have your ministry here with us and pray for it to continue and that you may have strength to face the challenges these duties may bring. It is an absolute joy that the Ross family have joined our parish family, thank you

04.01.2022 St Agnes’ has made the news!

03.01.2022 Here is another Good News story from St Agnes' Glen Huntly! Parishioner Carole Hooper tells the story: "During the spring clean of the St Agnes' garden and storage shed, four boxes full of family history were discovered. Photos of two girls as babies and children, their schooling, greeting cards, and a treasure trove of family holidays. It was clear that these boxes belonged to a Grayden family but this name did not ring a bell with the parishioners. Fortunately someone from ...the family had done some genealogy and included the girls birth date in a family tree book. John [Carole's husband] then went for a search on the trusted web and located the family through Facebook and sent a message. We were losing hope of connecting these treasures to the family when some weeks later Brett - the father and husband featured in the photos and albums - contacted us. Brett had a sad story to tell of how he had been widowed, the children had grown up and moved out and his brother had moved in to recover from a horrific car accident. Due to unfortunate family circumstances Brett was forced to move from his Booran Rd apartment with only a bag of clothes and leave all his worldly possessions behind (including his family photos ). It seems the brother then met a woman named Sharon who lived next to the St Agnes' Vicarage. A few years later when the brother died, Sharon had the foresight to ask the church to look after the family history boxes. And they had been sitting in our shed for almost 20 years ever since! It was a joyous occasion last Sunday morning to reunite Brett with his treasure trove! A blessed ending!"

02.01.2022 Join us on Sunday morning at 6AM for the Easter Vigil - the first Eucharist of Easter - at St Agnes' Glen Huntly!

01.01.2022 What an uplifting morning we had at Saint Agnes’ Glen Huntly not only with our worship enriched as usual by members of our parish choir, and some wonderful hospitality afterwards - but we were able to discern together with Kym Anderson, CEO of Compass Community Care and one of our volunteers at St Jack’s Lunch Programme, whether we might set up a Winter Shelter for the homeless in our church from July this year - it’s a fantastic initiative together with other local churches in our area and we can’t wait to get going! If you’d like to be involved, come along to Saint Agnes’!
