25.01.2022 Finishing the weekend before the big rain forecast this coming week. Joker is in with his autumn harem Calves marked Cattle moved Didn’t expect to look back and see a sunset like this on such a bleak winters day, bewdiful! #farmlife #regionalvictoria #greatoceanroad #paddocktoplate #knowyourfood #knowyourfarmer #winterishere #sunsets
23.01.2022 On this day, #internationalruralwomensday 2020, it’s easy to look back at the women before us who paved the way for where we’ve ended up today. My mother would never have dreamed l’d end up back on the land (like never!) but perhaps she sowed a seed that couldn’t escape genetics Over the course of Winsome’s lifetime she became experienced in dairy farming, potato farming, raising pigs, horses, sheep and cattle. She kept chooks and swore by her duck eggs for baking a good sponge. To this day it is still animal interaction that makes her smile, surely from a rural life well lived. There is a lot of joy living rural, and best wishes to all the women out there who have chosen agriculture! You’re da best #womeninagriculture #farmingwomen #internationalruralwomensday2020

20.01.2022 Aawwww, more calf spam! Apologies, such a special time and this farmer is on call. Looking forward to delivering our grass fed beef next week, and we still have some openings for October harvest if you’d like to get in touch #springcalving #special #highwelfarefarming #grassfedbeef #contactlessdelivery #lifeinthetimeofcovid19 #farmlife #happycows #happyfarmer #greatoceanroad #otwayharvesttrail
16.01.2022 What a wild spring season it has been! Yesterday it was over 30 degrees, and today it dropped to 14 and the wind has almost blown us into Bass Strait Is it time for pasta ragu? Bazadais brisket teamed with @otwaypastaco by @studionicholasburns could just hit the spot Think the weather return to more sensible working conditions for farmers tomorrow #grassfedbeef #springweather #bazadais #knowyourfood #knowyourfarmer #delicious #otwaycoast #wildwind
14.01.2022 Here’s some cuteness for you all going into another weekend in ISO. The calves are dropping now after all my impatience! Wagyu genetics first and then the Bazadais will follow after a breeding program of AI followed by a Bazadais bull. SO exciting Happy weekend vibes to you. #springcalving #happyfarmer #calves #windbeforethestorm #blowingagale #wagyubeef #otwayharvesttrail #otwaycoast #highwelfarefarming #grassfedbeef #tajima

11.01.2022 Congratulations Saint Aire Paris A heifer first calf, sired by Nioka Joker. With Jordy (FR) bloodlines and Saint Aire Leroy, l look forward to seeing how this little one shapes up. Hope its like Baleze Eclair’s bull calf. At six months he’s shaping up to be a solid polled performer. #bazadaisaustralia #quietcattle #bazadais #newmum #polled #bazadais #genetics #otwaysvictoria
10.01.2022 As the weather warms up there is nothing quite like Bbq steak, leafy greens and fries Beautiful aged Bazadais Cross Rib Eye cooked to Bbq perfection, and by all counts, tasting just as good as it looks. We process every month so don’t hesitate to get in touch for summer grass fed beef #bbqbeef #bazadaisaustralia #grassfedbeef #otwayharvesttrail #highwelfarefarming #knowyourfood #knowyourfarmer #greatoceanroad #otways #buylocal #paddocktoplate
09.01.2022 Organic garlic powering along. With still a few months till harvest time it sure is looking rather good I usually do an annual pilgrimage to the @sistersmarket in early December with our garlic braids, but l can’t foresee how that is going to work amid Covid19? We’ll see! Think l could be selling #contactless and #via direct order just like our beef. #spring #garlic #knowyourfood #knowyourfarmer #pandemicstyleshopping #shoplocal #canmailordertoyou
07.01.2022 When ‘Harry met Sally’ only this time when Nioka Joker met Saint Aire Parfait. As a heifer she is ahead of the main herd a little for joining times. #bazadaisaustralia #heifers #champions #poll #frenchcattle #greatoceanroad #victoria
06.01.2022 The garlic harvest has begun! I have no words. Honestly, it’s crazy, bonkers garlic this season. Beautiful big, organic bulbs that are curing, before l braid them up. They will be available in a few weeks, and make wonderful Christmas presents, if you can bare to give them away This year l will also be offering a postage service if you are one of my Melbourne clients from the cancelled @sistersmarket due to covid19, so please, you know how to get in touch #organicgarlic #knowyourfood #knowyourfarmer #xmasgifts #itsgoodforyou #bigandbeautiful #veryproud
01.01.2022 SO nice to finish September beef deliveries yesterday and have dinner sorted for us. A real treat when cooking in ISO has been the go for so long in Victoria! @hollymundaybespokecatering crafts beautiful take-away meals in Apollo Bay and uses many local ingredients. Usually l don’t go past the delicious butter chicken, , cause a curry is Holly’s absolute specialty! However, next week l think l may have to order the Saint Aire Beef and Apricot Curry, minted yoghurt with basmati rice I’m excited #buylocal #apollobay #bespokesmallbusiness #yummo #grassfedbeef #thankyou #otways #regionalvictoria #otways #greatoceanroad
