24.01.2022 In today’s Gospel, marking the 2nd Sunday of Lent, we hear the account of the divine Father and His transfigured Son. The Transfiguration underlines what all th...at is for: the glorification of Christ is not entertainment or bragging; it is a promise that the God who saved Isaac from death would raise Jesus also and to glory. More than this, it is a promise to us of resurrection and glorification with Him. We must renounce whatever distracts us and hand ourselves over fully to God’s will. And that, of course, is the message of Lent. I encourage you to download our Lenten Companion, Receive the Grace to Go Make Disciples. Our COVID-19 pandemic has certainly ramped up anxiety levels for many and understandably so. 14.01.2022 St Gregory's has a great reputation for its participation in the Queanbeyan community ANZAC Day march on April 25th each year. Sadly, given the current climate,... this will look very different for many of us. Nonetheless, we feel it is of the utmost importance to still remember, celebrate and show respect to our servicemen and servicewomen past and present, as best we can as a school community. This year, we would like to invite members of our school community to email a photo of their family participating in ANZAC Day at your own residence on Saturday. This may include families participating in the "Driveway at Dawn Parade", families holding a photo of someone they are remembering who has served/serving our country, families wearing war medals or if applicable, family members in their military uniform. Photos must be emailed to [email protected] by 1 pm on Saturday so a compilation of photos can be placed on our school's ANZAC Day Facebook post. Lest we forget
