24.01.2022 Recently our Year Four students travelled to the Senior School to partake in a Day of Reflection. This day was filled with many opportunities for prayer, reflection, connection and activities to support each child in their Ignatian Formation. As many of the Year Fours will soon celebrate the Holy Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion, this day also provided rich opportunities to prepare the students for this journey.

23.01.2022 Today marks our students’ last day on campus for 2020. Last night we farewelled our graduating class at Valete Mass on the Bellarmine Lawns with a lovely sunset ceremony. Similarly, this morning we celebrated our Year 6 Graduation Mass on the Junior School Oval. What a wonderful send off after a year none of us will ever forget.

22.01.2022 Our Year 7 Historians have been learning about and exploring how archaeologists investigate history, including the excavation process and archival research. The students conducted an archaeological field work thanks to the Australian Museums Museum in a box experience. Students worked in groups during the dig, each fulfilling a specific role; either the recorder, measuring expert, grid line expert and photographer. Each student had the opportunity to use the archaeological tools to uncover the artefacts hidden within their boxes. Students will now use their findings to compete a primary source analysis and research report.

22.01.2022 Wishing our community a happy feast day of our patron St Ignatius Loyola.

22.01.2022 Eka Tanaya SJ, who worked at Saint Ignatius' College in 2015 & 2016, was recently ordained a priest. His ordination which had been delayed due to COVID, was a simple yet profound occasion, with only 20 people in attendance. Eka returned from studies in Boston earlier this year to work at Richmond Parish in Melbourne. We pray for his future priestly ministry and look forward to welcoming Father Eka to Adelaide where he has been assigned to the Norwood Parish for 2021. Pictured... below is Eka with Old Ignatian, Tom Bailey (Class of 2015). Click here to watch his ordination highlights: https://fb.watch/1WUUkb_GOk/

18.01.2022 Eight Year 11 students attended a Respectful Relationships Leadership Day, run by the Port Adelaide Football Club, last Friday 18 September. The students (four male and four female) were selected to be involved as they have demonstrated leadership qualities over an extended period of time. They were joined by students from seven other schools across the state at the Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide. The participants are now investigating how they might be able to drive positive change surrounding respectful relationships across the College. They are planning on running different themed chapel services aimed at the middle years and senior years, and are keen to share their experiences and the key messages from the day.

17.01.2022 As their time in formal leadership nears a close, our Senior Leaders today took the opportunity to share some of what they have learnt about themselves and leadership with younger students of the College. The workshops had our leaders discussing ways that they could better manage their time and energy, find their passion, lead their peers, speak in public and organise events. This is another example of our leaders investing themselves in the development and formation of our younger students.

17.01.2022 Today we celebrated Saint Ignatius Patronal Feast Day. As we have had to adapt our celebrations this year, there have been liturgies and activities across all campuses. The two instructors were very impressed by our students good penmanship and respectful behaviour. This was a unique opportunity for our students to develop and demonstrate their cultural intelligence, and they have all done a great job.

Brilliant performances, and a strong and powerful ensemble, grabbed the audience and took them on one FANTABULOUS and TOTALLY SCHWEET 80's ride!! John Hughes would be proud.
