24.01.2022 We awoke this morning to news that Brisbane has been shut down since 8am and this means there are much tighter rules regarding gatherings. St Mary's has a Covid 19 safe plan and at this stage the service tomorrow will go ahead. However the parish will be more vigilant and one of the consequences is that morning tea will not be served tomorrow.... Some members of the congregation who have pre-registered may decide not to attend this Sunday. Please confirm today if you are planning to attend and also confirm if you are not planning to attend so we can ensure our numbers are within the limits and that our records are accurate. If you are rostered on tomorrow for readings etc and you swap with someone, please ensure that the office is aware of that. If you decide not to come, al for health or other reasons, please advise so that your name can be taken off the list. If the situation changes this page will be updated.

13.01.2022 I guess you could say St Mary’s is made of some really ‘tuff’ stuff It’s no surprise we’ve been standing strong for almost 150 years! #Repost @brisbane.lordmayor I’m not usually a fan of paperweights, but this one is pretty special. It’s a core sample of our legendary Brisbane tuff rock. In preparation for the construction of the Kangaroo Point green bridge we’ve had crews out drilling to test ground conditions and they were kind enough to give this to me. Brisbane tuff is a type of rock formed of compacted volcanic ash, which is over 50 metres thick in some areas. Did you know that the historic St Mary's Anglican Church above Kangaroo Point is made entirely of Brisbane tuff?

12.01.2022 Do you watch the livestream on Sundays? What country/state/town do you you live in? What do you like about the livestream? What could we do to make it better? Feedback and ideas are welcome.
