24.01.2022 ISA National Online Competition

24.01.2022 Another update to the ever evolving Covid Safe Comp rules. Minor children do not count as the one spectator and may attend with their parent (or guardian) who is a spectator. It is important that children follow the Covid Safe Rules and remain seated with their parent or guardian. This is all very new to all of us so lets work together with the common goal of keeping everyone safe

22.01.2022 Thanks to all the skaters, parents, coaches, officials and volunteers the Inaugural National Online Comp was a great success. Thanks also to IceArenA staff members Lilly and Deb who were so helpful

21.01.2022 Thank you to everyone this morning who wore a mask. I think we had around 99% compliance which is absolutely amazing. Thank you for caring enough about others including those who may be inmmuno-compromised and for stopping the spread by reducing the spread of droplets

15.01.2022 SAISA is very sad to let it's members know of the passing of Norbert Pecsi. Norbert was a friend to figure skating, nothing was ever too much trouble. Norbert was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed by all. SAISA would like to extend our condolences to his family, he was a great man and will be very sadly missed. Rest In Peace Norbert.

14.01.2022 Well done Kasia and thank you Seymour College for supporting Kasia with her sporting endeavours

13.01.2022 Clarification regarding the Covid Safe Rules. Each skater may have one spectator in total, this may be a parent, guardian or friend. Before or after the skater has competed they may sit with their spectator in the grandstand but must adhere to social distancing rules sitting 1.5 metres apart (unless they are related). Skaters and spectators are encouraged to minimise the time spent within the arena.

12.01.2022 PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS Unsanctioned Events Skaters must complete individual permit applications for each separate event they wish to take part of. If skaters are doing multiple performances at the one event, details of exactly when the skater is performing must be provided on the form. Synchro Teams may submit a team application however the team members listed must be current and the application must include details of the exact performance date(s).... While this all might seem a little pedantic it ensures SAISA has a record for insurance purposes or if any issues arise from the performances. Any application that does not meet the above criteria will require a resubmission. https://form.jotform.co/82613527836866

08.01.2022 There seems to be significant confusion around the one spectator rule announced by SAISA for States and spring cup. SAISA based the rule on the current maximum capacity of 75 allowed in the grandstand as advised by the IceArena management. In an attempt to be fair and ensure skaters and their spectator were able to sit in the grandstand within the numbers SAISA implemented this rule.

05.01.2022 To celebrate returning to the ice SAISA is holding a fun skate at the IceArena on Friday 17th of July 4.00 - 5.20pm & 5.40 - 7.00pm. Current financial SAISA members can enjoy a complimentary skate at one of two sessions. If you are not a current SAISA member, please submit the SAISA membership form and complete payment prior to submitting the SAISA Fun Skate entry form. SAISA will waive all membership late fees for the 2020/21 season. Due to social distancing restricti...ons, each session will have a maximum capacity of thirty skaters (60 spots in total). There will be no coaching during the fun skate but member coaches welcome to register Full details via the link https://form.jotform.com/201879222608054
