18.01.2022 2021 The Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival 2021 in South Australia [For the English version see below]... 2021 JETAAJETJETPR20222021FINA2021FINA2021PRPR On Sunday, 2 May, the Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival 2021 was held in the City of West Torrens in Greater Adelaide, the state capital of South Australia. CLAIR Sydney participated in the event for the first time and ran a booth next to members of the local chapter of the JET Programme Alumni Association (JETAA). At the event, CLAIR Sydney and JETAA joined forces to promote the JET Programme, the World Masters Games 2021 KANSAI, the 19th FINA World Championships 2021 Fukuoka & 19th FINA World Masters Championships 2021 Kyushu, which have been postponed to 2022, and other tourist destinations in Japan. There were more festival attendees than expected who visited the CLAIR Sydney booth to find information on popular tourist spots in Japan, destinations for cherry blossom viewing, as well as information on Okayama Prefecture and Himeji City, the sister state of South Australia and sister city of the City of Adelaide, respectively. Many visitors said that they would like to visit Japan and enjoy its beautiful scenery, wonderful culture, and delicious food once the restrictions on overseas travel are lifted. We can anticipate that demand for inbound tourism in Japan will bounce back after the pandemic is brought under control globally. CLAIR Sydney will continue to support Japanese local governments’ destination promotion activities in Australia and New Zealand.

10.01.2022 Do you still have a dream to live or work in Japan in the future? Well on Sunday 2nd May, come along to the Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival Adelaide and find us wearing this T-Shirt. We’ll be there all day and our Alumni will be happy to share with you about our experiences working and living in Japan with the JET programme.

08.01.2022 Kodomo no Hi is celebrating 25 years this year!!

08.01.2022 On Sunday 2nd May, we participated in the Kodomo no Hi festival organised by Japan Australia Friendship Association JAFA in Adelaide and the Council of Charles Sturt. From our JET Programme Alumni Association in SA, 8 members, who have all participated in the JET programme within the last 10 years, spent the day at the JETAA booth promoting the JET Programme. We had a great time sharing our experiences working on the JET programme, and were encouraged by the amount of people ...interested in choosing JET as a potential pathway to living and working in Japan. Three delegates from CLAIR Sydney also joined us, which made this exhibition extra special. It is a privilege to continue to develop grass roots exchange between Australia and Japan and we hope to inspire others to take on this opportunity with JET also. We all had a nice time reminiscing about our lives in Japan, and look forward to more opportunities to do this in SA. If you have any questions about how you can become a JET participant in the future, please contact us through our fb page or visit our JETAA Victoria/Tasmania/South Australia page for upcoming events within this Alumni group!
