20.01.2022 Thanks so much for the fantastic reaction to Saké Society so far. We've sold out all three Saké Master Sessions, but we're happy to announce that due to demand we have added one Saturday afternoon session, 1:00 - 3:00pm. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/sake-master-sessions-with-a If you are interested in these sessions including 6 saké selected and presented by Saké Master Andre Bishop; paired with 6 dishes prepared by Ichitaro head chef Yew Inn Goh, we urge you not to delay as this is definitely the final ticket release. Thanks again and we hope to see you there!

16.01.2022 Thanks for a fantastic first saké master session Sake Master Andre Bishop & the beautiful food Yew Inn. And of course, most of all thanks everyone who came to the session for your enthusiasm, good questions and good company

15.01.2022 As much as we love nihonshu, and we do love it A LOT, we couldn't run a Japanese saké bar without taking a moment to acknowledge the phenomenal rise and rise of JAPANESE WHISKY. In 2015 Suntory's Yamazaki Single Malt Sherry Cask 2013 was declared the best whisky in the world by whisky expert Jim Murray who awarded it a record equalling 97.5 / 100. Japanese age expression whiskies continue to win multiple awards world wide and gladly / sadly become harder to come by. Here at ...Saké Society we're taking a night to celebrate Suntory's fine work by offering a flight of three 12 year old whiskies with paired snacks: Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki. We will be joined by Beam Suntory's premium brand ambassador Erica Richards who will guide us through the three fantastic examples of the Japanese distillers' craft, and enlighten us further on the history and production of Suntory's world beating drops. https://suntorysession.eventbrite.com.au See more

14.01.2022 Nihonshu was traditionally served in wooden boxes called 'mash' which were originally used for measuring quantities of rice. A masu holds 180ml and the size of most Nihonshu bottles are determined by that measure to this day: 180ml (1 masu) / 360ml (2 masu) / 720ml (4 masu) / and our favourite - the 'ishobin' 1800ml (10 masu) PARTY SIZE! #sake #saké #nihonshu #sakebar #sakesociety #bigboy #japanese #culture

07.01.2022 Sayonara. Au revoir. Adios. Good bye. It's our final night on Ebenezer Place. What our future holds, we don't know - but we suggest your short term future should include one last (or your first) visit to #sakesociety for a taste of design, hospitality and of course - super premium #nihonshu. #sake #saké #sakebar

05.01.2022 Tonight's saké flights are sold out, but we're open for walk-ins from 8:00pm. First in - first served. We have a bench for waiting, or if you're hanging around the neighbourhood we can take your number and call you when a space is available. See you soon
