25.01.2022 a good reminder.

23.01.2022 "Oh," said Eeyore, looking up from his vantage point on the floor of the Hundred Acre Wood, where he lay in his house of sticks, his head poking out, resting on... a carpet of leaves. "It's Poohandpiglet. Hello, Poohandpiglet." "Hello Eeyore," said Poohandpiglet, and they came over and sat down, one on either side of him. Eeyore sighed a heavy sigh, bracing himself for the conversation which would now surely follow. He had had a number of visitors so far that year; all of whom kept to the same lines of enquiry. "How ARE you, Eeyore?" Head on one side, concerned looking expression. Followed by a series of Well Meaning Comments: all about how he really needed to start Making The Most Of Things, and Putting A Brave Face On It All; and why didn't he Just Go And Get Some Help, because, of course, there were others Far Worse Off Than You. And, most dreaded of all: Why Don't We Talk About It? But Poohandpiglet said none of this. Instead, they sat with Eeyore; and when it became clear that Eeyore didn't want to talk, Pooh told him about how he had got his foot stuck down a rabbit hole when he went out for a walk the other morning, and Piglet told him in breathless tones how he really did think that this time, he might be on the verge of catching a Real Life Woozle. They talked, and they laughed, and they let Eeyore join in just as much as he wanted to, without ever putting pressure on him to tell a funny anecdote, or, worse still, to talk about his feelings. And when the time came for the two of them to go, Poohandpiglet didn't try that appalling convention of leaning in for a hug with someone who was very much a Non-Hugger, or trying to catch your eye in a Deep And Meaningful Manner, in the hope that you would suddenly decided to unburden yourself. Instead, they told Eeyore how much they missed him, and that they would be there again next week - as, indeed, they were every week, come rain or shine. And that, if he needed them at any point before then, that he only had to let them know. And they would be there. Eeyore watched them go: Pooh trudging through the fallen leaves, little Piglet bouncing along at his side. And, much as he tried to ignore it, even he couldn't deny the way that Poohandpiglet, and their visit to see him - to see HIM! - had caused his spirits to inexorably rise. ********************************** www.instagram.com/iknowineedtostoptalkingblog www.twitter.com/IKINTST

Go to sleep and wake up at a reasonable time, write a schedule that is varied and includes time for work as well as self-care. 2. Dress for the social life you want, not the social life you have. Get showered and dressed in comfortable clothes, wash your face, brush your teeth. Take the time to do a bath or a facial. Put on some bright colors. It is amazing how our dress can impact our mood....Continue reading

Sometimes it does help to be able to talk about what you're feeling and have someone who cares, listen to you without judgment and empathy and total confidentiality.
