21.01.2022 https://youtu.be/erHLP29tzPE R U OK? Day is Thursday 10 September 2020. Its our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, Are you OK? if someone in your world is struggling with lifes ups and downs. 'THERE'S MORE TO SAY AFTER R U OK?'... 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. You dont have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says theyre not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before theyre in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their life. There are lots of helpful resources on the website. https://www.ruok.org.au/

21.01.2022 Tomorrow we are encouraging everyone to wear yellow to TA for RU OK? Day

20.01.2022 Mrs Sherman's Grade 5/6 students have been busy excercising their way around Australia during remote learning. Here is the last update. 5/6C have travelled all the way to Darwin! Check out the towns they stopped in and ask your child about the videos and traditional land owners they discovered along the way. Congratulations to 5/6D who have exercised the whole way around Australia, stopping in to see many of the sites and to learn about the traditional custodians of each town. Well done to all the students who participated and contributed to the class total each week.

19.01.2022 RU OK? Day is on next Thursday, the 10th of September. Keep an eye on our Social Media pages in the coming days for useful tips and hints about starting the conversation. We also have an exciting competition that will be launched tomorrow.

Early-intervention and open communication can reduce stigma, break down barriers and build trust which in turn promotes long-term, positive behavioural change that saves lives now and into the future A simple way to provide support is by genuinely asking Are you OK? and being prepared to have regular meaningful conversations to help someone who might be struggling to feel supported when confronted with challenges in life whether at home, work, school or in sport.
