19.01.2022 Life is not found in epic travels, but in the tiny details JOIN US in the PEACOCK THEATRE as O'Grady Drama Hobart’s On Cue Senior Performance Ensemble presents 'Duty Free' by David Megarrity. Written especially for a youth performance ensemble, explores the journeys of these characters as they find their life not in the broad sweep of epic travels, but in the tiny details. It stirs dim cultural and political awakenings in some. Others just muddle through. It raises questions... about identity and authenticity, and what is private, and what is public. The journeys are complicated by social networking, and the invention of the self that occurs both online and overseas, playing with the idea of identity formation in both lived and described experiences. This show will transport you everywhere from scenic European vistas to remote backpackers, but will there be any homecomings?
