25.01.2022 As we all find our way through the current situation, we wanted to provide you with some information about our clinical & therapy services. For the next few weeks, our team members are avoiding face-to-face meetings with clients. This is to do our bit flattening the curve & to protect people who may not have strong immune systems. However - our team members are all working, & will be in touch to speak over the phone, or organise video meetings through Zoom, FaceTime or Skype. 25.01.2022 Today is Sorry Day - we recognise the distress and trauma that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people suffered when they were taken by force from their families, communities and land. This was government policy - even law back then. Lets continue in our efforts to help with healing and recovery for the stolen generations and their descendants. Sorry is an action word...

We are also continuing to accept referrals for Behaviour Support and Individual therapy sessions with the use of remote technology, and our clinicians are enjoying developing different modes of engagement and training delivery, alongside vital regular clinical support. 13.01.2022 Following on from Sorry Day yesterday, today marks the anniversary of the 1967 Referendum to allow Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders to be counted as people in the National Census. Just let that sink in for a second - counted as people.....only 53 years ago. There are still many people alive who hold this in their living memory.

08.01.2022 Update from the Speechies!! Our Speech Pathology team are working on ways to ensure that all of our clients continue to receive the services they require during this time. Telepractice allows us to see clients at a distance through the clinical use of real-time clinical service delivery including videoconferencing and teleconferencing. Services can also be provided in the form of delayed delivery (store and forward) such as videorecordings and over email. Speech Pathology Aus...tralia supports the use of telepractice as a service delivery model where telepractice is based on current evidence-based practice and is at least equivalent to standard clinical care. We will be making individual plans for all of our clients to ensure that we can provide comprehensive reports, develop and send out resources, provide training to families and support teams and ensure meaningful engagement to clients.
