25.01.2022 The Sale Football Netball Club is excited to welcome Jack Leslie to the nest for Season 2021. Jack a former junior player of the club was drafted by the Gold Coast Suns in 2013 with pick 20 overall, injuries curtailed Leslie’s AFL career where he played 28 games over six seasons. Jack also gained valuable higher level experience playing a further 28 games in the NEAFL over the same period. Jack returned to Gippsland in 2019 where he aligned with Williamstown in the VFL; Jacks... size, strength and versatility added with his AFL experience and leadership qualities will be a great asset for our players and club this season! We welcome Jacks partner Ashley and young son Thomas to our club, we eagerly look forward to the Leslie boys (including brother Wil) donning the black and white together for Season 2021.

23.01.2022 VALE Don Schuback Extremely sad news with the passing of Don Schuback today. Donny was a premiership player in 1949, a Life Member of the club, a Life Member of the Past Players & Official’s Association, a club Hall of Fame member, a friend, a sponsor, a supporter but most importantly an absolute true gentleman!!... Donny served as treasurer of the past players for 30yrs and could always be found behind the bar on the hill ensuring the beers were cold and the money was in the till.. When you think of Donny you instantly think of raffle tickets. Imagine how many tickets he sold in his 95yrs! Not just at our club but just about every sporting club in our area. There’s hardly a club that doesn’t have his name on an honour board, a testament to his devotion to benefiting others and the greater community. We are sending our love and condolences to Dons family and loved ones.. RIP Donny you absolute legend

09.01.2022 Hi Sale Football Netball Club, It is sad news that our season has been suspended again. The Gippsland League have sent a statement and they have advised us that until further notice the season will not continue. I would like to thank all the coaches and support staff for there commitment in getting the junior teams out on the oval and court . ... To Glenn Dyer for all his hard work and effort he has put in with him being the Covid 19 official. To him and Waixy for looking after the training duties thank you. Maree and Leah for your work with netball and making the games run smoothly. I would like to thank Danielle and Felicity for all there hard work running the gate and everything else you do to make this club run. Also Leonie and Tracy for running the canteen and doing a magnificent job. Dean Benson for setting everything up and the time you spend up at the club. To all players I know you all enjoyed playing and training and lets hope that this is not the end but a temporary holt. Well done to you all. Cheers Simon Teddy Turnbull Club President
