22.01.2022 Sale Tennis Club will hold its 16th Life Members Day on Saturday, December 19. Life Members Day has grown to be one of the biggest and best days on the Club’s annual calendar. The day is a celebration of the contribution to the Club of all members, especially Life Members, who have been recognised for their outstanding contribution. Each year we welcome back to the Club the extended Flint and Best families to celebrate their lifelong association with Sale Tennis Club. Everyone is welcome, current members, former members, children, family, friends, new members and anybody else. You only need to have a pulse!!

04.01.2022 Sale Tennis Club 68th Club Championships Sale Tennis will host its 68th Club Championships this Sunday 29th November. While the Club is still in the throes of a major redevelopment the championships will continue uninterrupted after 68 consecutive years. The most hotly contested events for the 68th championships will be the 4 Honour Board events; the Open Ladies Singles, the Open Men’s Singles and the 18 & Under Girls and Boys Singles. Other events include 10, 12, 14 and... 16 & Under Girls and Boys Singles and Doubles, the ever popular Family Doubles and Women’s and Men’s Doubles. In the Open events Jess Board and Anthony Zafiris are the defending champions and they will both return to defend their titles. Both Jess and Anthony were first time champions in 2019 and both will be keen to back up in 2020. Jess is also the defending champion in the 18 & Under Girls while in the 18 & Under Boys Hunter Pearce is the defending champion. The other age events are very open as the players progress through their age groups from 10 & Under upward. The Club Championships provide another opportunity for Club players, especially juniors, to test themselves against their peers. This is part of the junior development pathway and while club championships have been slowly fading from many country clubs annual calendars Sale Tennis Club is determined to continue its long tradition. 01.01.2022 Sale Tennis Club is now recruiting for the coming Wellington Gippsland Tennis Association summer pennant. Despite the current COVID-19 Stage 3 restrictions the Club is hoping that tennis will still be able to start in October. Senior tennis is due to commence on Saturday October 3 and junior pennant is due to commence the following Saturday, October 10.
