20.01.2022 Its #DonateLifeWeek2020! With 1,700 Australians on the waitlist for a life-saving transplant, help spread the word about organ and tissue donation and the importance of registering at donatelife.gov.au and telling your family you want to be a donor. Pictured is Evie. Evies family will never forget being told their six-year-old daughter would die if she did not have a liver transplant within 48 hours after her health dramatically declined due to an undiagnosed genetic condit...ion. Remarkably, thanks to the generosity of an organ donor and their family, Evies life was saved with a liver transplant. There are many of our local families who have said Yes and who have said Thanks. How wonderful. #DonateLife #DonateLifeWeek #DonateLifeWeek2020

16.01.2022 Football Victoria Vision: Our purpose as per our FootbALLways strategic plan, is to Inspire and enable all Victorians to live and love football for life and our stated vision is equally clear: Football for ALL, anywhere, anytime. These are not loose aspirations; they are the bedrock pillars which guide our decision-making processes.

16.01.2022 THANK YOU A huge THANK YOU To all the Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, Players and Parents for all their support throughout this year. The passion and positive outlook displayed has shown how resilient and wonderful our members are. Seeing all the players turn up to training has been nothing short of inspiring. It has been a season like no other and our committee worked very hard behind the scenes and always remained hopeful that football would still happen. Sadl...y, the Home & Away season had to be cancelled, along with upcoming practice games, due to Covid-19 not being under control, but it was absolutely wonderful to witness the u18 and u16 teams playing some quality football in practice games against Gippsland FC a couple of weeks back. We also added a couple of trophies early in the year when our Mens team won the Ficifolia Cup and our Womens team were runners-up in the inaugural Womens Kendall Cup. We received a few grants this year. One for our new U13 girls team from Vic health for equipment and uniforms, one from the Government for Solar along with a donation from the John Leslie Foundation, and a grant from the Wellington Shire for a new line marker. We are also hoping to receive a grant for new coachs boxes. These grants ensure that things will be in place moving forward. As a Go Football Provider, our club is currently getting the Go Sevens (7v7) outdoor tournament organised for when contact sport is confirmed. Please keep an eye on our Facebook Page and Team App for future announcements down the track. The MiniRoos Kick Off program has been postponed and will now commence in October. The Annual Primary Schools Twilight Tournament will be postponed until First Term 2021 due to the volume of school children and their families in attendance. REFUNDS: Thank You to all the members aged 19+ who attended the Club for their refunds of the SUFC and LVSL components. The couple of you left will have another opportunity in a few short weeks. For all members aged 18 and under we will announce dates for your refunds soon. FV/FFA are currently working on their refund policy and we will let you all know when we are told. Please stay safe and keep well and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Our Great Club soon - The SUFC Committee.
