All regular buyers were in attendance today with strong competition across all fields and weights of cattle. The market trend today was firm on the heavy and feeder cattle while significantly dearer on the lighter types. FOR STOCK & STORE SALES Due to increased border restrictions, it is a requirement for ALL VISITORS coming into the Saleyards for Stock and Store Sales including Agents, Vendors, Buyers and Livestock Transporters to: - Enter via Princes Highway entrance.... - Undertake temperature checks at the gate. All vehicles will be stopped at the entrance. Anyone coming in from Victoria will also be required: - To show their valid essential traveller exemption. - To wear personal protective equipment. - To keep records of their movements. Face masks and gloves will be available at the gate. The Fairbanks Road entrance will be closed to all traffic from 7:30am - 9:30am. These steps are being implemented to help protect our industry and are required by law. Please also remember physical distance and hygiene protocols.
