23.01.2022 Dear Adelaide Salfordians, Rapid developments and the orders are out to quarantine for 6 days at least as of tonight. Salford College response:... All delivery will be online only via MS Teams and sessions will be recorded. Practical classes will cease and theory will be brought forward. We will soon publish new timetables. 11.01.2022 Second round of emergency cash grants now available for international students A second round of emergency cash grants are now available for you if you are still experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. The International Student Support Package (ISSP) was announced earlier this year by the South Australian Government to support international students studying and residing in South Australia. You can now apply for a second $500 emergency cash grant. The total v...alue of funds you can receive across two grants is $1,000. Applications are open now and will close on 28 February 2021. For more information, including FAQs, eligibility criteria and the link to the application portal, visit www.studyadelaide.com/issp. You will also find information here about other support students can access including Rental Relief Scheme, Community & Charity Support, and the International Student Support Network (homestay accommodation). 08.01.2022 Dear Salford Adelaide Students As you all know by now that there has been a cluster of COVID identified in the northern suburbs. The cluster is growing and is likely to grow a bit more before we control it. It is very important that all of us stay tuned to the announcements by SA health and follow their instructions. Every bit of precaution that can be taken should be taken to stop the spread and break the chain. Salford College has stopped all the theory classes immediately... (in Adelaide only) and all the classes will be held online through Microsoft Teams as before. Please ensure that you attend the classes and work on your assignments to ensure you stay on top of your work. If there are any technical issues, please let us know so we can help you. We hope that this is a short term response and we can be back to normal soon, but we will keep you informed over the next few weeks. It is likely that online theory classes will continue till Christmas break, however this could change as we get more data on the outbreak. Currently kitchen practical classes will continue, with appropriate precautions, masks, distance and hygiene protocols as of now. Please ensure that you all stay safe, get COVID testing done as much as possible, follow the hygiene and distancing rules and help the community in stopping this virus in its tracks.
