07.01.2022 CoreLogic's initial figures show the city chalked up a preliminary clearance rate of 70% on the 562 reported results of the city's 679 scheduled auctions. The improving Sydney market was good, but it is yet to feel the effects of the pandemic, AMP Capital chief economist Shane Oliver said. 07.01.2022 The rebounding housing market has stepped up another notch, with preliminary clearance rates remaining above 75 per cent in Sydney and Melbourne and pointing to an extended spring selling season. While clearance rates typically ease off as the traditional spring market draws to a close, the disruption of this year's seasonal selling timetable by the pandemic has pushed that wind-down further back, as the market absorbs pent-up demand. Sydney's clearance was at 76.2 per cent from 807 homes listed on preliminary figures from CoreLogic.
