We purchased two extra cartridges along with the Salin Plus device and for the price its well worth it since they last four to six months and have made the most amazing difference to our daughter. We were at a loss at what to do to help our daughter with her asthma until I came across the Salin Plus and cartridges and now seeing her overall being improved so much you cant put a price on that. 24.01.2022 Is it safe for kids? Yes! The Salin Plus device is suitable for infants and children of all ages. Our devices emit about 0.1g of natural rock salt over a 24 hour period, of which about 0.1mg is inhaled. The recommended daily salt allowance is between 3.7g and 5.7g, making the amount inhaled dose very low compared the recommended daily allowance. Importantly too, the rock salt in Salin Plus is 100% safe, naturally derived and contains no harmful additives. (The Mini dev...ice, pictured, is perfect for kids rooms!) 19.01.2022 Dry salt therapy and water arent the best of friends. Salin Plus can be used in humid environments, with some precautions. Ensure your room is well insulated from outside moisture (close doors and windows), and use a hygrometer to measure and manage a relative humidity level of around 50 to 60%. In damp environments the dry salt filter will absorb moisture from the air. You would be amazed how much moisture is in the air when the room is damp! The filter acts like a spong...e, absorbing moisture until saturation (compromising the filter) when it will leak onto surrounding surfaces. Fortunately, weve only seen this happen in around 1% of devices sold. The best way to protect your filter, is to remove the moisture from the air, and the best way to do this is with a dehumidifier. I have trouble sleeping and am coughing and am restless through the night. I also cant sleep because of hubbys snoring so bad. 14.01.2022 "I purchased this after stumbling upon it late one night on Facebook, to be honest I wasnt expecting much but after reading some of the reviews thought it wouldnt hurt to give it a try. My daughter has been a long time suffering asthmatic with winter knocking her for 6 every year. She relied heavily on preventers, ventolin and steroids but they really only just propped her up and she always had a slight wheeze/cough even when she was well. We set it up the night it ar...rived and I didnt think much of it after that. My daughter would turn it on at night and off when she woke the next day. After around a week I couldnt actually remember the last time I had heard her cough at night, she would normally wake a few times in a coughing fit and require ventolin to get back to sleep, propped up on a pillow.
