25.01.2022 Recycled all these buttons & made this piece of art. Done all freehand with many many hours just need to make a frame now. Hope you can see who it is.

23.01.2022 Welcome to the new committee of Salisbury Stitchers

23.01.2022 Here we see the Petrie family dressing lace shawls on Shetland around 1910. These spectacular shawls were hand knitted by women and exported for their beautiful... lace-like quality. This dressing we see here is the final stage, which gently but firmly stretches the shawl on a frame, opening up the distinctive pattern of the shawl. Photograph by J D Rattar. See more

20.01.2022 This has nothing to do with Stitching but makes for an interesting read. I remember my brother riding our horse 60 kilometres or more on his own when he was 11 when we moved home. He asked how do I get there. Dads response was well you know how to get to a Grandpas home in Blyth. Stay over night then ride to your other Grandpas the next day. Cant imagine my Grandsons doing that today.

20.01.2022 Lovely idea to store old quilts on vintage chairs.

19.01.2022 This could be a beading pattern, a patchwork pattern or a crochet pattern.

18.01.2022 Heres my latest quilt finish. This has been in the making on and off for a couple of years. Pattern is Ring Cycle, a version of Jacks Chain. Mostly Kaffe Fassett fabrics. King sized plus and very heavy.
