14.01.2022 COVID SAfe Check-In is here! If someone in South Australia tests positive to COVID-19, COVID SAfe Check-In enables us to quickly contact others who may have be...en exposed to the virus, controlling the spread. This will enhance contact tracing and keep our community COVID safe. To start using COVID SAfe Check-In: 1 Download the free mySA GOV app on your iPhone or Android device. If you already have the app, make sure you have the latest version, which may require you to download the app update or remove and reinstall the app. 2 Select the COVID SAfe Check-In tile from the homepage of the app as you enter a business or venue. 3 Follow the prompts to scan the venue’s unique QR code and check in. You will not be required to sign up for a mySA GOV account to use the COVID SAfe Check-In. You also do not need to provide a driver’s licence or vehicle registration details to use it. The app securely collects limited personal information as you enter a business or venue. Your details will only be kept for 28 days and will only be released to SA Health for official contact tracing purposes. For more information visit: www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/business-and-work/covid-safe-check-in

06.01.2022 Sadly the restrictions that apply to hospitality vendors has caused one of our local cafe's Jim Dandy Cafe to close for the remainder of 2020. The 4m2 rule for indoor dining, large numbers of staff across the precinct working from home, no community events, coupled with managing manual attendance records and the introduction of QR scanning has too much of an impact on local small businesses. COVID resulted in large income drops for many businesses, who also could not maintain... their full staff. With only 1 or 2 staff working at any one time, there is too much to manage and still deliver great customer service, provide great food and SLING great coffee. We look forward to Jim Dandy returning BIGGER and BETTER in 2021.
