Brian had been a member of the CFS and Salisbury brigade for 59 Years and 10 months. Brian held various roles in his career with the EFS and CFS, with his most recent seeing him be a duel member with both Salisbury and the Para Reserve Brigade assisting in alot of events and was also a very active representative for the CFS Volunteers Association fo...r both brigades. Brian has been a great friend, mentor, firefighter and was always happy to help out at any opportunity. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. 22.01.2022 TOTAL FIRE BANS - Mount Lofty Ranges - EXTREME Fire Danger - Friday 27th November ... Media and the public are advised that TOTAL FIRE BANS have been declared for 27 November 2020 in the following Fire Ban Districts: West Coast - Severe Eastern Eyre Peninsula - Severe Lower Eyre Peninsula - Severe Mid North - Severe Mount Lofty Ranges - Extreme Yorke Peninsula - Severe Lower South East - Severe Where Total Fire Bans have been declared, very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted. The Total Fire Ban will apply for 24 hours from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow. The CFS recommends that you implement your Bushfire Survival Plan. FIRE DANGER RATING Where fire ban districts have a forecast fire danger rating of Extreme, only well prepared, well constructed and actively defended houses are likely to offer safety during a fire. Where fire ban districts have a forecast fire danger rating of Severe, well prepared and actively defended houses can offer safety during a fire. COVID-19 ADVICE If you are quarantining or isolating in an area of fire risk, you can leave that location if you are in an emergency or if your home is unsafe - but try to get back as soon as you safely can. If you need to attend a relief centre or a Bushfire Last Resort Refuge, you need to stay outside, alert emergency services at the location and follow their instructions. Advise emergency services that you have left quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19. Please ensure your emergency kits are updated to include masks, sanitiser, and any other items you may need to keep yourself safe and prevent any potential spread of COVID-19. BUSHFIRE PLAN If you don't have a plan to ensure your survival, leaving early before a fire starts is your safest option. In making your plan, you should be aware that in high fire danger conditions, essential services including mains-fed electricity and water supply may not be available due to the prevailing weather conditions. Landowners are asked to adhere to local harvest codes of practice which are available from your local council. Landowners are also asked to ensure that any burn-off activities conducted today are fully extinguished before midnight tonight. Agencies are advised to activate their Total Fire Ban procedures in preparation for these predicted fire weather conditions. For further information contact the Bushfire Information Hotline on 1800 362 361 or visit https://www.cfs.sa.gov.au

19.01.2022 FIRE!!! Now we have you attention, we will be conducting a couple of hazard reduction burns over the next 2 monday nights. Tonight's burn is on Summer Road at Bolivar, as the property runs along side of the north-south motorway it will be visible from the highway. It will be kicking off at around 5:30pm and should be all wrapped up by 9pm. We are conducting this burn on behalf of a property owner that we have been assisting for many years. As the area is quite large our ...volunteers are always happy to assist and do the burn in a safe and controlled environment. Don't be alarmed if you see the flames or smoke, our team will have it all under control. But if you see a fire in the area without a fire truck in attendance be sure to call 000 and report it.

16.01.2022 R U OK? Day 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. It began with ferocious bushfires, followed by a pandemic. It's made life pretty tough for many of our CFS volunteers, especially those who lost homes, property, stock & more. Reach out to a friend, a family member, your neighbour, a colleague & ask the question... R U OK? A conversation could change a life or even save a life & listening is the most important thing you can do right now.... #RUOKDay #TheresMoreToSay

For owners of drones - even volunteer members involved in respondin...g to an incident - under CASA laws it is illegal for you to fly your drone over an emergency incident (including bushfires).
