25.01.2022 Under 11 div 1 Today found as away to Salisbury Villa. Our most rivalled team. This was our third face off. With previous games 0-1 loss (challenge cup GF) and 2-2 draw in our first match up this year.... With a experienced referee at the helm coach was confident. Our boys started slow as did Villa. Waiting for the first team to take control. The game was a bit sloppy. It was our boys that took their first chance with both hands as Mustafa was on the end of a beautiful cross from Bayani. We held tight in defence making Villa panic and taking shots of which they would normally set up. Unfortunately our shooting yips snuck in with some beautiful skill full play pushed wide of the up right. Villa Caught us napping when they manage to get three past a defence. Lochie doubled back to stop but unfortunately the cut back was to perfection and villa levelled up one all just before half time. HT 1-1 In the second our defence stepped it up a notch and pressured Villa, causing multiple off sides. We battled on hard and started to tire. Coach did a massive switch of players searching for that something. That something was a Mitchell, Cameron and Caedyn. Cameron had a chip at goal to land on the net. He then smoked one to be cut off by the keeper. Caedyn saw Cams chip and adjusted to get it over the head to reclaim the lead. Villa did threaten a few times but Emil was Courageous and lucky not to loose his teeth when villa kicked one out his hands for a denied goal. He pulled off three beautiful saves by putting his body on the line. Mitchell set up his 2nd assist to Caedyn from out side the box. Where we saw Caedyn hit it on his left to put it in the corner. 3-1 Bayani was so tough late in the 2nd putting his body on the line to keep Villas attack out. Riley, Luke, Tyler, Cam, Lochie, Kyan, Emil, Bayani, Ilyas, Mustafa, Caedyn, Mitchell and Blake. I thank you boys. I was so proud today you all played well. VERY WELL Final score 3-1 Caedyn 2, Mustafa 1

25.01.2022 Under 8's Match Report Great game today against a strong opposition. We had multiple attempts at goal but no luck in that regard. A very even match, they just managed to get it past our GK twice. We had a few moments of players watching the play rather than participating, so we need to work on that for our final games. An improvement on last time though against TTG so let's aim to finish the season strong!

24.01.2022 Today the world of football (soccer) lost one of its greats Diego Maradona. A controversial figure, but this goal is one of the best of all times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SBAPcmPGSM

24.01.2022 Under 11 Green team What a game!!! Today we played the division champions. And didn't we give them a game!... 2:1 Up at half time, team spirit running high. After Brodie S saved a very harsh penalty, Qasim and Irfan (1st goal) had found the back on the net after some great team play and pressure. We didn't lose our shape or commitment after a classy goal from Virginia United. We dominated a great part of the game in both halves but against the run of play Virginia United 2 goals in the second half. In the last minutes of the game, we were denied a clear penalty, their goal keeper made a great save and Virginia United were very lucky to still have 11 players on the pitch after a very unsavoury push on Connor, who didn't retaliate and got on with playing football. Special mention to Josiah who played a captains game and showed great skills and determination on the ball. Great to see the coach from Virginia comment after the game on how much our team had improved. Playing like that the team can aspire to be Champions next year.

24.01.2022 Under 7 white In warm conditions at home in a rematch against Ingle Farm who got the better of us in our last meeting. We started brilliantly with Lyndon scoring in the opening minutes after a great pass from Flynn. Most pleasing today was that we scored twice from our kick off set play that couldnt have gone to script any better. Flynn ran hard today to get into space & was rewarded with a hat trick. Special mention to Maddy whos goal keeping in first half was amazing & s...he saved everything. Our defensive clearances from Maddy, Daniel & Davin under pressure from Ingle Farm players in the nail biting final minutes drew loud cheers from the crowd to finish with a 4-4 draw. 23.01.2022 Under 13s SEJSC v Athelstone @ Away We came into the game expecting to have a confidant win after betting them 11 - 1 in the first game of the season. Unfortunately I think the boys thought it was just going to happen. They were slow it start and Athelstone started strongly. We managed to gain back the control as the half went on but with both teams defending well there werent many shots on goal and it was a scoreless first half.... You could feel the frustration in the half time huddle and the boys came out must stronger in the second half. Unfortunately Athelstone took advantage of a fast break turnover and managed to put a scrape goal away. Well that got our boys really fired up and it wasnt long until a great solo effort by Yassin resulted in a goal. We then put multiple shots on goal with one hitting the cross bar and 2 stopped by the goalie. In the end we just couldnt put another one in the back of the net and had to settle for a one all draw (1-1) at the final whistle. Lets get out on the training track boys and keep improving. Go Strikers! Goal scorers: 1st Half: 2nd Half: Yassin Athelstone 1

23.01.2022 U7 white report: Away to Elizabeth Grove in a rematch where they got the better of us in our last encounter. With no bench & warm conditions all the kids had to dig deep & run their little hearts out. Flynn was first to score with a left foot strike just wide of the keeper before half time. Tayla was unlucky not to get her first goal ... from a Lyndon corner when she just put it wide of the upright with a beautiful strike that had the keeper beat. Jace worked hard all game trying to keep the ball in our attacking half. Davin & Maddy as usual were both sensational in defence all game, they continue to make crucial tackles when needed & set up our attack. Daniel & Lincoln today shared the keeping duties keeping us in the game with some brilliant saves. Lyndon scored on a breakaway that tied the game, some tense final minutes followed with both teams both came close to scoring a winner. Coach Ash See more

22.01.2022 Under 9's Salisbury East 7 Elizabeth Grove2 Two weeks in a row our set play corners set us away with 2 early goals from Charlie. The next 5 minutes Grove pressured our defence but our usual back four Owen, Beau, Pricey and Waco repelled all their attacks. Then Tyson Hall in to action with some gut busting runs and unlucky not to score a goal or two for his dad's birthday... Five minutes before half time a beautiful strike from Jackson Gallyer made it 3:1. Second half saw our strikers dominate with a well put away double from Stefan. Again the Grove come at us and Joel Hammer positioning himself well in defence and using his head to stop the Grove. Good to see our next two goals came from training drill Ash worked on with the kids on Thursday crossing the ball and players getting into the penalty box. Jackson getting his second and Charlie his third. Well done Strikers keep it up. See more

18.01.2022 Under 11 Div 1 Away to ladder leaders Ingle Farm. Last time we went down 7-1.... With some defence training Wednesday we were set for the fight. We got away well with a perfect cross from Caedyn to find Mustafa to go 1 up. We were holding our own and Ingle Farm went for the bench. But unfortunately our defence line broke down allowing Ingle Farm to level up. Knowing full well we had their ability covered we needed to work as a team. Ingle Farms counter attack was fast but playing our game was bringing them un done. Unfortunately with a couple more defence errors or miss judgment Ingle farm put two more in. We had a couple chances late but strayed. Half time 3-1 down. The second half was all us. Well done boys taking it right to the undefeated team. Cam, Josiah, Ilyas, Mitchell, Mustafa, Lochie and Caedyn all performing great. Ingle farm had two shots in the 2nd to score once more. We played a lot tougher and were more physical. Caedyn was unable to steer a Josiah cross home, Bayani missed with Mustafa and Josiah sending one wide. The final score 1-4 Well done the score didnt reflect the game Im very happy with this. Ingle farm scored all goals from our errors. Once again well done. Good job in goals Kyan.

17.01.2022 Under 13s SEJSC v Ingle Farm Red @ home We knew that it was going to be a good contest because we only bet then 2 - 1 earlier in the season. We made a really confident start and Jacob was on fire shot from everywhere. One just over the cross bar, then one just to left of the goal post. Finally he put one away and we were up. He should have had 3. ... Anyway Ingle farm made the most of the few chances they had in the first half and managed to score 2 goals on fast breaks. Pretty much the only 2 chances they had for the first half. Very frustrating! The boys knew they were playing well and just had to tighten up in defence and take their chances. Our defence was strong in the second half and they were taking shots from outside the box because they couldnt penetrate our defence. Mean while we creating chances and Cooper had two great chances that went over the top. We didnt have much time left and we had the ball in their half for nearly the whole half. Thankfully with about 2 minutes to go William did a great pass across goal and Yassin was able to get his left foot to it. Two all!!! Overall a great contest and a great game. Well done boys Go Strikers! Goal scorers: 1st Half: Jacob 2nd Half: Yassin Ingle Farm Red 2

17.01.2022 Dont forget team photos this Thursday, see this post for your time. Please remember to arrive no later than 10mins prior in Full Uniform.

16.01.2022 U7 Green Report: Today we took on Ingle Farm who we havent been able to beat yet. The kids played hard but Ingle Farms defence was just too strong. Unlucky not to get a score today despite some good attacks. On to the next one. Good job Mini Strikers Coach Barry.

16.01.2022 Join us to help celebrate a wonderful 2020 season. Dont forget to bring your chairs.

15.01.2022 Dont forget Presentation day this Sunday

14.01.2022 Under 7 White: Taking on Salisbury United for the second time this season , today showed me just how much all of these kids have improved from our first game. Again we all kept to our positions & within minutes of kick off we scored, we managed to put 4 past the keeper in the first half. Lyndon & Flynn dominated in the midfield setting teammates with great unselfish play. Ethan again controlled his right wing with gut busting runs & had 3 good shots on goal.... Player of the day I thought was Davin his tackling today was ferocious & not one Salisbury player got past him. We put another 2 more goals into he back of the net in the 2nd half with Jace looking dangerous in our forward half. Coach Ash See more

14.01.2022 Under 8s Match Report Yeehah!! Fabulous day to really put all our drills and practices into use. Last time we played this team we lost by 1 ... we took it home convincingly 5-0 today! Contributions: *a full bench so we could rest tired legs and thirsty mouths *people taking turns in positions so that we alternated hard running then a rest in the back... *goalies ready and able to stop their few attempts at goal *defense applying pressure so they missed shots too *hat trick by Parker *beautiful run by Tyke who zipped past 3 defenders having a bit of a chat *Riley taking one in *everyone just getting in there and being confident and participating. #SOPROUD #seeyouattraining #loveyouguysevenwhenwelose X Rach See more

14.01.2022 U7 White Report: Final game of the year at home vs Para Hills. A great all round team performance today with every player making some great plays when they needed to. Lyndon was first to score when put one in the back of the net after a good pass from Flynn. Maddy was again a stand out across our defensive line taking on the Para Hills star player & beating him every time.... Jace made some exciting runs in the second half taking on multiple players at once & coming out on top. Ethan had one of his best games for the season using his speed on the right wing & was unlucky not to score late in the game. Daniel was our saviour many times as our last defender clearing the ball out of our danger zone as he’s done all year. After the game we had a fun penalty shoot out vs Para Hills with some players scoring their first goals of the season. It’s been a pleasure to coach this year & look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Go Strikers! See more

12.01.2022 Hi everyone. Under 11's green have a catch up this Thursday 17th at night at 6:30pm. I will be opening the canteen for hot chips & drinks etc. Please feel free to come along to support the kids. Thanks Sarah

12.01.2022 Under 8s Match Report. Home game. The opposition was definitely tougher than last time we met, with so much play being smothered and lots of throw-ins. A bit of a pep talk at half time to remind players about positioning, and we did much better in the second half creating opportunities. Finished the season with a 2-1 win, well done goal scorers and all those supporting players who get it up the field. So pleased with the improvement over the season. GO STRIKERS!!

12.01.2022 Under 13s SEJSC v Elizabeth Downs @ Away We turned up and straight away could tell that it was going to be a challenging game with the wind blowing strongly straight down the pitch to the northern end. We went with the wind in the first half and Jacob managed to score a great goal in the first couple of minutes. Then we kept finding ourselves off side as the ball bounced back and forth between defences. Thankfully late in the half Jacob was able to get his head on a corner f...rom Mitch and we went into half time 2-1 up. Going against the wind in the second half the boys found harder. Hard to train for this kind of wind. They kept battling hard and it ended up being goal for goal. They would get one then we would get one. With about 2 minutes to go William made another (had already scored 2 goals in the second half) great drive through their defence and was about to take a shot when he got should in the back. Penalty!!! It is currently 4 all! I let William take it and told him he had to kick it along the ground. Everyone was nervous but not William who was able to calmly and confidently put it straight into the left corner of the net. We win 5-4 at the final whistle. Great hard fought win by the boys. Enjoy the week off next Saturday . Go Strikers! Goal scorers: 1st Half: Jacob 2 2nd Half: William 3 Elizabeth Downs 4

11.01.2022 U7 White Report: Away to to Salisbury Villa who tough were tough competition last time we met putting 4 past our keeper. Today was a different story we had the better of them in the first half putting some exciting passages of play together but just couldnt score, Lincoln had our best chance when he found himself on the end of a Flynn cross but put it centimetres wide of the upright. Our team defence worked well led by Davin who hasnt let an attacker past him in weeks. As ...a team we didnt let Villa have a shot on goal in the 1st half. Daniel dominated today putting in a best on ground performance in defence, he continues to cut off any attacking runs from opposition & quickly turns our defence into attack. Lyndon & Flynn as usual worked hard in the midfield running box to box combining together with some great passing. Tayla put in he best performance of the year getting plenty of touches & a highlight was setting up Lincoln with a great 1st touch pass. Maddy was Captain today & lead from the front in the second half making some amazing saves as goal keeper, the best was a diving full stretch save the denied a certain Villa goal. Good to have Ethan back after a week off who along with Jace gave us great supporting runs in our wings. 1 more game to go, lets bring home Strikers. Coach Ash See more

11.01.2022 Under 8s Report Tough game today against a quick and strong opposition. As per usual some things to take to practice and improve on! However we had moments of brilliance, and it think we put up a much greater fight than last time we met. Keep up the good work, strikers!!

11.01.2022 Dont forget to grab a ticket for our fundraiser raffle drawn next Thursday

11.01.2022 U9 match Report: Salisbury East 2 - Para Hills West 2 Home in warm conditions we started well controlling most of the play early, unfortunately a defensive breakdown let Para Hills West in for an early goal. Stefan was quick to equalise when he cleverly put one in the back of the net. Nikolina had a go ahead goal disallowed by a dubious offside call.... Second half Jack Power joined the midfield after his goal keeping stint in the first half & was quick to impart his dominance on the game running hard setting up attack after attack. Charlie tied the game in the closing minutes with a 25m long range bomb that send the crowd into raptures. In the final minutes we had our chances to take the lead but unfortunately it wasnt to be. A good all round team performance today with winners all over the ground. A few of standout players today were Nikolina, Wacko, Charlie & Stefan. See more

10.01.2022 Under9s report Para Hills East 0 Salisbury East 1 Another win for our strikers. A game we dominated once again without the scoreboard showing it. Our defence very solid with the keeper getting about 3 touches all game.... Our midfield also dominating but needing to be stronger on the ball. Getting pushed off the ball easily. Apart from Tyson who ran his little guts out. Our strikers had numerous chances which could of killed the game off early but not our day. Late in the game we eventually put one away. Well done to Nikolina scoring her first goal of the season. See more

10.01.2022 Under 8s Match Report Bit frustrating today with players clumping, not following directives and walking rather than running. (Yes it was hot but we tried to sub more frequently to allow for drinks breaks. ) We definitely dominated play but they had a lucky goal from our handball, then one on the final buzzer for them. Parker had kicked one in our first half and we had many other close calls but unfortunately we ended up with a messy day so didn't do better. One for experienc...e for all of us. Bye next week, so only one game to go!! Rach. See more

08.01.2022 Under 11 div 1 Last game today away to Angle Vale. Boys were still doing warm up until the 24th minute when Blake scored from the ricochet of the keepers great save.... HT 1-0 The 2nd was much better. Better ball movement and use. But still deplorable in front of goal. Angle Vale had plenty of chances to score but not with Emil In their way. We kept on it and managed to get 2 more off Ilyas and Kyan before the final whistle. Well done Tyler, Emil and Riley on a good day. 3-0 It’s a good win considering how off we were today. Today was my last day as coach for Salisbury East. I am very honoured to have been able to coach such a great bunch of kids.

08.01.2022 The club has been informed this morning that former Coach & Committee member Andy Burns has passed away after a short battle with illness. The club would like to pass on its condolences to the Burns family and next week we will have a minutes silence in all games prior to kick off and wear black arm bands in his memory.

06.01.2022 The Club had planned a Xmas party on the 5 December however due to the lockdown and ongoing uncertainties with restrictions the committee has decided to cancel the event. For the families directly caught up in the Northern cluster, you have our sympathies. As South Australians let’s play our part in getting this over as quickly as possible.

06.01.2022 Under 11 div 1 Today we were away against Elizabeth Grove. Last time we faced off was Our first game of the year where we got up comfortably easy 10-0. With some different positions on the cards as per the kids request at training we were confident but knew We couldnt afford to be sloppy. ... Full credits to Elizabeth Grove their defence smothered us Which caused us to completely loose all sense of what we were about. To be honest I was frustrated but felt content as Grove didnt really look like scoring. EITHER DID WE . Finally Caedyn broke through with a long ball to his self up the left wing which he out ran the Grove defender giving him a 1 on 1 at the keeper. He made no mistake. We had one more attempt through Caedyn who annoyingly turned down a cut back to Kyan and Cam running through. This shot was saved by the keeper. Half time 1-0 The second started where the first left off. Coach asking for his players to wake up and play soccer. Asking for 1st effort, tackling pressure, passing accuracy and talk. Tick tock as the ball went up and back for the next 15 minutes. Caedyn finally found a ball from Ilyas making its way through the box to get his and the teams 2nd. Ilyas was continuing his good form where he went on to set up another two goals after that. Both goals to Mustafa. Josiah got his first for the year. With a cracking run from defensive side of half way. These last 4 goals came in the last 8 minutes. I said to the boys after match if they could imagine what the score would have been if we started the way we finished. Emil with a clean sheet. 5-0 Caedyn 2 Mustafa 2 Josiah 1

06.01.2022 Under 11 Div 1 We hosted TTG who shared third spot on the ladder. A win would see the strikers take a hold of third. We got of to a great start maintaining possession. We pressured well but did lack a little in the 2nd effort department.... Soccer is just one of those games where domination is not often the score card representation. We went 1 down about 10 minutes in with a nut meg through the keepers legs. TTg did not have much ball at all but nailed the breakaway chance. Out boys didnt drop their heads. We matched their score strait away off the foot of Mustafa. Still dominating the stats TTg took us to the break 1-1. 2nd half started as the first ended. Noticeable difference in TTgs attack. They started to lift through the corridor which saw them go 2-1 up after a amazing save from Emil. Unfortunately couldnt quite control the bell into his gloves. TTg pounced. Again the boys lifted to level up straight away through Caedyn. As the half progressed we started to drop away slightly. Coach looking for that something and that was Kyan who pushed up and bet the keeper to push one wide of the upright. TTg had a few nice passages of play and were able to go 3-2 up with 5 mins left. We had another opportunity to score from 30 out but the keeper was up to the challenge. The full time whistle went and with it went our 3rd place on the Table. Unfortunately a couple of tiny errors cost us today. The boys were left broken but to be honest it was one of our better games. Well done boys. Proud coach.

05.01.2022 U7 Green Report: Today we were up against Anglevale Gold at there home ground. This is the team that handed us our first whooping back in the first round, The first part of the game looked to be history repeating itself. The Mini Strikers came out with all guns blazing in a huge come back and a massive effort by all. This was one of the most exciting and well played games yet with the Mini Strikers taking Anglevale to school and really showing the skills they have learnt and the heart they show when down. What a come back to seal the deal in style. Great Job Mini Strikers lets keep the momentum going. Coach Barry.

04.01.2022 Under 11 Green team Blessed by beautiful sunshine both teams played attractive and determined football. We started the game with 11 players and two subs.... ELIZABETH VALE had lucky bounce of the ball and the found the back of goal early on. Chasing the game Josiah found the back of the net from a well-executed freekick after the team had put the Vale under pressure. Down but not out we scored 2 more goals in the second half Sienna from a corner kick and Qasim slotted the ball pass the goalkeeper after a controlling and dribbling past a defender. We had a couple near misses that could have narrow the deficit. In all the team played as a team, players gave their all and we are ever closer to that elusive win. As your coach super proud of the effort and to the dedication showed to get those goals and to give the Vale a game of football. We are playing ELIZABETH VALE on the 17th Thursday September in a night game. (instead of training) Lets insure we get a win and 3 points. Again, thank you to all parents who celebrated each goal and near miss with loud applauses and words of encouragement. The team and I really appreciate your support. Since it was such a beautiful day, some of us stayed and watched the under 13 play. Treated to a great game with some excellent football on display.

03.01.2022 Under 13s SEJSC v Para Hills West @ Para Hills West Rematch against the top team. When we played them earlier in the year we were very competitive in a losing game. So we knew if we played at our best we had ever chance of knocking of the top team.... We started really well and had attack after attack but unfortunately their first forward run resulted in some miscommunication from our defence and they got an easy one. But our boys didnt drop their heads. They kept attacking . A great tackle and pass by Tristan to Yassin resulted in our first goal. Then Jack did a great cross from the corner and Lochie Vine managed to get his foot on it, 2 - 1 up at half time. In the second half we kept competing well and creating chances but just couldnt put it in the back of the net. Again they managed to get another scrappy goal. With a few minutes to go we pressed hard and had 4 consecutive corners but again just couldnt finish them off. I think we were the better team and to walk away with a 2 all draw against the top team at there home ground is a fantastic performance. Overall a great contest and a great game. Well done boys. Go Strikers! Goal scorers: 1st Half: Yassin Lochie Vine (Coopers little brother) 2nd Half: Para Hills West 2

03.01.2022 Under 11 Div 1 Wow how good was the sun. Today we hosted Elizabeth Downs. Our rivals from last year which proved to strong in our first meeting this season. Going down 2-1... Today coach Anthony took a back seat to Showcase the attributes of our assistant Rob. With focus on our defensive mistakes from last weeks loss we had a line of 5 at the back with each defender being held accountable for their corridor. With minimal warm up to keep legs we started well with a 38 second goal from Caedyn. Neck minute Mustafa slid a fast counter attack past the keeper. Ilyas was next in the fast counter with some great mid field work. 3-0 in 8 minutes. Downs then worked into the game and started to lift into next gear. They got one beauty from a tight angle. And another from a indirect free kick in the box. 3-2 Some of the boys started to panic and this cost us our 4th goal when we had two fighting over it on the penalty dot. Half time arrived and we sat in the shade and calmed the nerves. The 2nd half would normally see Downs lift and us drop away. Today we lifted and was able to move the ball forward with relative ease. Ilyas and Caedyn were great on the wings with Mustafas speed in the middle. We were missing left right and centre. Plenty of opportunities at goal in the 2nd and we just couldnt put them away. Bayani done some good work to unfortunately push one wide. Mustafa missed out on adding another. A few corners later and good pressure we found the 4th off the head of Kyan. Downs had a couple runs forward but our defence was to good to let them in after the break. Very hard to list absolute standout players today so everyone give your self a clap. Good win 4-2 Goals: Caedyn, Mustafa, Ilyas and Kyan

03.01.2022 Under 11 Green Team Today we played away against VIRGINIA UNITED. Their second goal was one of the best I have seen all year. Corner kick followed by a subline headed goal. Everyone watching was very impressed. Unfortunately, being players shorts with no subs makes playing football more complicated for those on the pitch. Credit to the players who tried their best, as your coach that is all I can ask for.... Areas of improvement defending at corners, marking players and supporting each other on the field. ( and at training) Thank you for the parents who attended the game and for your ongoing support. See you next Thursday at 6 to 7:30 pm for training. See more

02.01.2022 U7 Green Report: Today we were back up to the extremely freezing cold Anglevale to take on Anglevale Red. It was a tough game for the Mini Strikers but in the end they pushed forward and managed to work together for a win. Hardwin managed to prevent a goal and Rochita was in the mix. Seth made some good efforts in the net saving some tough balls. Amy and Jade had a good game with some on point throw ins with James always in the action. Banger, Kobe, Daniel, Kohen and Kailey worked well together to link up some nice passes and defensive runs. All in all it was a bit messy but the Mini Strikers showed their toughness under pressure. Time to warm up now. Coach Barry.

02.01.2022 Under 11 Green Today, football proved again to be that cruel game where you dominate but not necessarily win. In the eyes of parents watching and in my eyes you are all individual winners, today the final score does not reflect your performance and effort. You chased, defended, and tried so hard to score.... The ball finally went in late in the second half, by then TEA TREE GULLY RANGERS had scored twice against the run of play. Great illustration by Jacob who scored is very first goal, that you need to be there and follow up, he slotted in ball in the back of the net from Josiah shot that rebounded off the post. As your coach supper proud of your effort and commitment today. We got a night game this Thursday night instead of training be there by 6:pm kick-off is at 6:30 PM. May we get to celebrate that elusive win that night.

02.01.2022 Match report U7 White: Home to Para Hills West in another nail biting rematch ending with another nil all draw. It was an arm wrestle of a game with both teams having a strong defensive game plan with all players having to work hard to get a shot on goal.... Davin & Daniel again saved us with their fierce tackling in our defensive half, & they continue to win every one on one challenge when needed to. Lincoln,Lyndon & Flynn both had good opportunities to score late in the match but unfortunately just couldnt score. It would have been a shame for either team to have lost the game & I couldnt be prouder the way they were all switched on from the first whistle. Coach Ash See more

01.01.2022 U7 Green Report: Today we took on Elizabeth Grove at home. The sun was out so the guns were out. With only one on the bench the hot sun looked to become a bit of a problem, I was wrong. The Mini Strikers put on a show which starred everyone. Special mention to Kohen who kicked his first goal which was very emotional for him as hes been trying so hard all year. Another special mention to Seth who spilt blood for the team after a knock to the face, it was a shame because he was... playing his best game. Rachita, Hardwin and James were all very involved in the game with some important touches. Kailey was unstoppable in defence with Jade involved on every play. Daniel was doing what he does best and kicking goals while Banger was doing his job Banging the balls all over the place. Well done Mini Strikers it was a pleasure to coach a solid bunch of kids who are improving every game. Coach Barry See more

01.01.2022 Under 9 Tea Tree Gully 4 Salisbury East 3 Today we got taught a lesson. We started the game as well as we have all season. An early goal from Jackson put us up 1nil up and dominating the game. Five minutes later a Stefan corner caught by the wind and curling in,put us 2nil up. After that Gully woke up and started playing harder soccer and scored just before half time 2-1. The second half started much like the first with us dominating play and Charlie scoring a opportunists... goal to make it 3-1. Then our team went to sleep thinking game over. Credit to Gully they hit us hard and scored three break away goals to make it 4-3 to them. With 7 minutes to play we pushed and pushed for the equalizer, Chances to Stefan, Charlie, and Jackson going close on a another day they probably score. Let's see the proper strikers next week.
