25.01.2022 Afternoon all, Just a quick post to update you all on the club. We will be closed for the next two weeks due to the restrictions. If anything changes throughout the week will will send out emails and also post any information on our Facebook. ... As far as we are aware poker on the Friday night will still be able to go ahead but we will update on Facebook if there is any changes to this. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

24.01.2022 Awesome watching the young tackers enjoying a kick and a catch in great sunny conditions this morning. Terrific to have a sporting weekend again at the club. Hopefully will be smooth sailing from here on in (well as smooth as we can, given the circumstances). I know theres been alot of hard work done (and more coming) by the junior coaches, coordinators and committee to get the the young lads on the park. Great work folks, keep it up.

23.01.2022 Today, we saw the first ever official senior game of soccer at Salisbury West. The Adelaide Dragons Soccer Club has made Salisbury West their new home. Unfortunately the reserves, after putting up a super effort, went down in the first game. However, the A team won 3-2 in an entertaining display in front of a good, noisy, supportive and appreciative crowd. A great start to what we hope will be a long and fruitful partnership. If you couldnt make it today, next home game will... be in a fortnight. In the meantime, we have our junior football kicking off tomorrow. Please support and encourage our kids... our future. And, of course tomorrow is senior football AGM day. This meeting will determine the future of senior footy at our club, so if you want to have a say in what happens to senior footy (or preferably put your hand up and do something) and you are a current financial member......be there at 11.00 a.m. See more

21.01.2022 Hi All, In light of the recent Covid cases in the northern suburbs (and reports of schools within the Northern suburbs being closed for deep cleaning), please remain vigilant. If anyone is showing any signs of Covid symptoms, please self quarantine and get tested. 15.01.2022 Yesterday we said our final goodbyes to club legend John Conole. The amount of people that turned up was testimony to the love and respect that JC had earned over the years. The final lap of honour around the oval, the place for so many of his great sporting achievements, was a fitting final. On behalf of Salisbury West Sports Club, I would like to thank the family, friends and former team mates who turned up to give JC the type of send off, which Im sure wouldve made him proud.

I am very supportive of their inclusive sport project and will work with them to achieve their goal. 14.01.2022 Next Saturday 27th June, will be a very special day for the Salisbury West Sports Club. Our first ever official game of senior soccer will be held, starting at 1 oclock with the Dragons reserves, then the A grade playing Northern Wolves at 3 oclock. Would love to see you all here, as we start our new journey. Canteen and bar services will be available on the day. Yesterday we had the ladies having a bit of a kick. Would also like to thank Rob Klose, from the office of Nick Champion (federal member for Spence), Kamal and Dhan Rai for their support and to Craig Oxenham for his tireless efforts.

09.01.2022 I got to the club last night and was introduced to Paul Deacon, a gentleman who has just moved into the area and has obviously gone past the club a couple of times. Last night he generously donated 6 footys and 4 soccer balls, which he would like to see donated to kids in our club. To Paul, we give our heart felt thanks. Restores your faith in human nature. An absolute awesome gesture and one which is so greatly appreciated.

06.01.2022 What an unbelievable, day we saw at our club today. After making the Grand Final, our lads won 2-1 to take out the Dragon Cup. Was a day full of colour, energy, skills, atmosphere & excitement. Those that were there witnessed sports promotion (at amateur level) at its very best. Congratulations to the boys on a super win. Special mention to Dhan Rai and Chida Chouhan for organising a great event. To Robert Klose, a super display of refereeing. And to Craig Oxenham, Tracy Piwen, Carly McIntyre, Loren Rowntree, Georgie Sanderson & Justine Gurr, I (and Salisbury West Sports Club members), can't thank you enough for your dedication to keeping this clubs doors open.
